Cool, what are you going to do with them? My dad used to buy mantis egg cases to put in our garden. We never saw any in our yard, but they would be all over the rest of the neighborhood. I hatched one a few years ago and raised up a few, but I ended up feeding them off to my old chameleon.

Well they were originally for the greenhouse, but they are just to damn interesting, so we have some that hatched last month in an exo-terra thing. They are pretty interesting little creatures.

I wanted to get orchid mantids, but you can't import mantids to florida. Sigh. They are so cool.

I actually got these eggs of Ebay, believe it or not. 3 eggs for five bux. And when you dont want them to hatch they are stored in the fridge. If you take them out of the fridge, it takes about a month to hatch.

These are Chinese Mantis'. Very close to the European Mantis if im correct.

And before anyone freaks out, yes they are native to the US, maybe not my coast, but they are not going outside.

Usually bugs make me cringe, but those are actually kind of cute. Of course I had a traumatic experience as a kid with a mantis...(it wouldn't let me down the stairs :() but they are still pretty neat.
