Re: Hatch Rite
Hatchrite works wonders for leopard geckos, so id say it would be good for snakes.

Re: Hatch Rite
I have heard some bad things about it when it first came out. I dont know if they changed anything or not though.

Re: Hatch Rite

Re: Hatch Rite
yea i am sure it is a little cheaper to do it that way but for a couple of small clutches i really did not want to mess with mixing stuff.

Re: Hatch Rite
Anyone know how many bags of Hatchrite I should order for three clutches (probably 4-6 eggs each) incubated in 15 quart tubs if I decide to use Hatchrite over Vermiculite?

It took me an entire 2lb bag to get just enough to cover the bottom and maybe and inch high.

Re: Hatch Rite
I used it last year for about 3 clutches of bps and 3 clutches of colubrids... it worked fine. I also used vermiculite for 3 clutches of bps.... it worked fine!
IMO, I think it's an expensive material once you start producing more and more clutches as apposed to Vermiculite.
