Re: Oklahoma Reptile Expo
Don't worry, you didn't miss much. There was one guy I almost wanted to beat up...he had a pair of balls in horrible condition for sale, and told me he could give me a really good deal...only $125 for two emaciated normals, both with multiple severe rodent bites and layers of stuck on shed. I asked him how long he'd had them, and he said he'd them for a month! I asked him about the shed and he said "I just soaked her last night". They were apallingly bad. I was horrified that somebody would offer them up. They didn't look like they'd eat in his care either...there was nothing in the body. :-(
DJ's Geerage Reptiles or something was the name on the table.

was a little short stocky guy? hes a small time importer lives in claremore. he sells to pet stores in claremore, owasso, and some on tulsa.
Re: Oklahoma Reptile Expo
Yeah, he was opposite the GoLizards table, on the right.
Re: Oklahoma Reptile Expo
he sells stuff on kingsnake some times. i met him one time. he was selling a one of the pastels that i own now. he was selling it for like $75. i met him in claremore and he tells me he's selling it for a friend. then tells me hes an importer. he said the animal was 5 to 6 months old and it was maybe 1-2 months. i gave him $50 for it. hes a great little guy. took me a bit to get him to eat but hes growing like a weed now. i talked to some people at Southern Agriculture and they said they buy stuff from him every now and then. i would not buy anything from him again because he did not seem to know much. i do not think he knows how to house them, just a importer that is a go between trying to make a quick buck.
Re: Oklahoma Reptile Expo
Oh yeah, he also told me the snakes looked like that because they had been brumating (!).

the last reptile show i went to in august, was really small, the one in OKC at the laquinta, but the one before that in june of 07 was an awesome one, Bob clark was there and he had retics hatching out
but the thing was, tony baum was the guy who hosted those ones

Re: Oklahoma Reptile Expo
Anyone attend the OCHS?
I was looking at the calendar and march is supposed to be on bps!
Re: Oklahoma Reptile Expo
Aww! I completely forgot about that show! =/ I would have gone at least for a little bit.
I'm bummed b/c this semester I have classes until 8 on Thursdays so I can't make it to the OCHS meetings, but I may end up missing class next month and heading to the city for that one :P I've only been once, but I enjoyed it, so hopefully I'll be able to pick up going after this semster.
