Other Hobbies???

For most of us here ball pythons are our hobby but what are some of your other hobbies?

Mine are Baseball Cards i have some from the 1930's, Love camping with my kids(two sons) don't know if camping is a hobby & Fishing.

MUSIC

I love to sing, and play instruments.

Gaming

Drag Racing

Motorcycles

Firearms

My list oh hobbies is bigger than the paycheck to support them unfortunately =P

Bowling is my life more my job then a hobby but I love ot do HTML codes. I guess you could call that a hobby I'm always making websites..

harleys are about my only other.

Working on classic cars. I am doing a complete frame off on a 72 Nova SS. I plan on overhauling a Pontiac 455 I have sitting here and putting it in. Looking for around 500 HP when all is said and done. I'm on the long term plan though so it will be about 5 or so years before it hits the streets.

I love caring for my two male german sheperds, playing poker, and shooting at the range

Comic Books I have over 6500 in my collection.

My dog, my future dogs, and more recently body building and football.

hm.. well I have a lot. too many I'm afraid.. wish I had more time to pursue them all. :)

I play piano and guitar.. mostly piano lately though.

horticulture.. I have 8 orchids and a bunch of other assorted plants. My two windows are almost full of plants.

horseback riding.. though it's too cold lately (-30 windchills this week)

mostly though.. I have a love for all animals. I have a small collection of 7 tarantulas.. my lovely canary and doves, my catfish that I've had forever.. and our cats and dog. I'm a dog groomer by profession, but I really like my job, my cocker spaniel has nearly floor length hair.

which brings me to another 'hobby' - growing my hair. it's just past waist length now.. I love long hair.. on people, horses, dogs, anything that can grow it. lol I make my own homemade shampoos and conditioners and everything.. I'm a bit of a hair freak I guess.

I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of for now.

I'd have to say web design...i can build a custom site in just a couple days....mostly because I cannot sleep...but also because I can't let something go unfinished!!

between web design and my herps...can't say i have an actual hobby since i work from home now making web sites and taking care of the rescue

I build websites too, but I'm more focused on the code and other kinds of software rather than the design part. Man I'm a geek, I do that for a living too! :rofl:

Dog showing, Horses, Collecting about everything. By everything I mean I have over 40 seperate collections in our house. It looks like a museum. Everything from pinbacks, cards, figurines, to full size mannequins. I believe we have about 25 of them. Mostly women, with a full size greyhound and a mermaid thrown in for good measure. We have a three bedroom home with a study and full basement and it is crowded. Only 2 of us live here. We have started to buy industrial shelving to hold everything. We also enjoy people watching at the mall. Think things in the wild are strange, just go to your local mall and sit a few minutes!;)

I Fly fish and collect old U.S money My prize of this collection is a 2 pound six pence note printed by the "Franklin and Hall" (thats Ben Franklin) printing company and signed by four of the signers of the Declaration of Independence it is dated 1763 so I keep nothing newer than 1950

I've been playing didgeridoo for over a year now. Lots of fun and definitely another weird hobby to go along with my snake keeping :)

I just picked up a nice 10inch djembe last month; lets get a drum circle going! :stereo:

My biggest hobby besides herps is scuba diving. I also do alot of hiking and backpacking and hopefully in the next few years I can add mountaineering to the list. :)

Reefkeeping in little glass boxes.:D I'm a nut for Small Polyped Stony corals! I don't currently have a salt tank running, but its a work in progress to get all the supplies together again.

Other than that and reptiles I enjoy the out of doors activities, Disc Golf, deer hunting, four wheeling, canoeing, etc.:gj:

lets see.. I draw, paint, create handmade jewelry, beadwork jewelry, and I am teaching myself how to airbrush and tattoo. I also have a growing Bambi collectibles collection.

photography is my other hobby and if i could stop buying snakes i could afford a new camera. :D

Chess, Origami, anything outdoors; especially camping/backpacking, cycling, winterguard/drumcorps.

I have a few...

Field herpetology, and collecting is a big one of mine. Photography is another. I've started paying off some new photo equipment. Last is invertebrates. I adore Theraphosids....nothing beats a tarantula in my eyes. They're the perfect pet!

Cool Ed.. I forgot to add that I have a coin collection too. I haven't added anything in years, but I still enjoy them. One of my favorites is my 1803 half-cent.. it's my oldest US coin.

i got a few two

i try to setup home business so far my most sucessful is a contractor for frozen rodents.:cool: i'm pretty good at that

i love some animals though dogs,ferrets,birds,snakes,inverts.

but generally i love firearms, hunting,canoeing,kayaking,FISHING

Oh yes.. I love the old coins the "flying eagle" cent, I have an 1837 half dime, a perfect 1866 3 cent peice I even have some fractional bills. I love them I have a bill from many of Federal reserves ranging from the 1921 Boston 1.00 to a 500.00 San Francisco

Very cool.. I love the flying eagle cents. I have three of them.. I have a half dime too.. I can't remember the date now though. hmm.. I have an XF 3-cent piece.. not perfect, but it sure looks nice.

My biggest hobby is collecting DVDs, mostly Disney movies but I have a lot of the Dreamworks and other label cartoon movies as well. Name a cartoon movie and I most likely have it (unless it hasn't come out to DVD yet;)). Began collecting these before I even had my kids. I just love them!!

My animals are my biggest love, I also collect horse figurines with my daughter, collect Transformers with my husband, and do some artwork with my sister. Hobbies are so much fun if you have someone to share them with!!

I am sure that I have more, but lately just haven't had a whole lot of time for much of anything.

I have a few other hobbies. Snakes are late comers to my world.
I write fiction, but can only find a few places to post it. I am writing one story with a friend in Australia.. which takes time.

Well, lets see.... Drumming circles with my djembe and friends, building my ranch, building our straw bale castle, training my dog for his CGC title, playing with my kids and grandkids, hiking, backpacking, target shooting, swimming, and dreaming of all of the possibilities....

I have all sorts of hobbies. I love getting tattoos, and drawing them. I brew my own beer, I play bass guitar, and I enjoy camping and hiking.

i'm big into video games, steeler football and working with children with disabilities.

Does watching TV and drinking beer count as a hobby? LOL

Between family and work, the snakes are about the only thing I have time left for these days. I used to do other things like play guitar, hunt, fish, camp, play role playing games, do yoga, run, bike. But time gets tight and some things gotta go. The snakes have really been my only constant hobby over the years. Maybe when the kids grow up and move out I'll have time for other things again.

building a ranch a good luck i would like to move out to a farm some day and reconstruct the barn to be my room or building for my future T's,pythons,boas,and whatever else i can think of :banana:

Agriculture- Im going to own one heck of a cattle herd, as big as the King ranch was. Slowly...LOL. I love to learn about it, and take care of the livestock I already have. I want to be a large animal vet.

My dog! I love border collies, and want a whole bunch of them for my cattle herds...lol.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE to fish, off of my kayak with my family.
Ed, what do you Fly fish for? I do some fly fishing once and awhile...my dad does it alot.

I trout fish in Wyoming and Colorado, I fly fish for bass and Bream here and do some Reddish fishing just off the MS LA coast

Other than caring for all of my animals, I don't have any hobbies. I used to read a lot and love to camp but I never have time for that anymore. But animals are my passion, especially my snakes but sometimes I do wish I had a second hobby to enjoy.

I take care of my Dogo Argentino and have been training Krav Maga for 5 five years and I'm planning on opening my very own Krav Maga Center in the town that I'm moving to. I also train Vale Tudo and Muay Thai. :ninja:

I've been playing hockey my whole life and I love it... I also play intramural soccer at Ohio State and it's a lot of fun. Besides that I like to brew beer, kayak, and fish when I can.

Yeah, I'm working with the architect to incorporate a snake room; shhhh....don't tell my hubby!! ;)

keeping cichlids of any kind, music, working out, and I recently took up Muay Thai kickboxing...best workout ever.

Right now I'm working two jobs, so I pretty much just come home, take care of the animals, and crash.

I guess my biggest obsession is dog and cat rescue. At any given time there is at least one foster at the house, and I just can't pass a stray on the road. When I had more quiet time, I used to cross-stitch, and I still crochet scarves on slow nights at work. On the extrovert side, I performed in a Rocky Horror cast for three years, and am currently loosely affiliated with a small carnival sideshow. If I ever get time, I'll be learning some of the acts.
