This is a captive hatched female we recently picked up from J&J Reptiles. I would like to get your opinions of her.

Just a nice normal? Or something else?

The other snake in the pics is a normal for comparison. Thanks for looking!

Louis, she is a outstanding snake with a lot of the same characteristics as my fire. Since she is CH, you never know. :D

I can't wait to see pics as she grows.

Anyway, I think all (normal looking)ball is not a morph till proven otherwise. I sure hope it's a fire man, good luck!

This is a good shot. Compare the pigment in her tongue to the pigment in that normal's tongue in the same pic and let me know what you see :weirdface

thats a really nice animal. she looks like just a really nice normal. i love the high blushings on the side though. my female has a belly almost just like that and she is a wild wc normal. but i can take her off your hands if you are not sure, :D

It looks a lot like a Russo to me. Definately has enough going on that it can't just be dismissed as a pretty normal.:gj: Looks very promising, congrats.

I like her. if she was mine I would be raising her up for sure.

Thanks Alice!!! She seems to share some similar traits with some of the fires I've seen pics of, but on the other hand, I see some differences also.

I've got a Fire male that I posted some pics of some time ago. (Cue posted a pic of him earlier in this thread) Anyway, his belly looks totally different from this girl's and he has a head marker, where she has a blushed/faded head. Who knows.:weirdface Hopefully we'll have something cool to show off in a couple of years.

Cue......I've never been good at being able to discern the subtleties of tongue color. Her tongue color looks similar to my Fire male's in the pic you posted. I tried to compare it to the normal I had in the pic, (she's actually a phet something or other) and the normal's tongue looks a little darker.:weirdface It was really hard to tell, because the little vixen wouldn't leave it out long enough for me to get a good look. :rolleye2:

That was something I thought about too. I haven't seen many pics of the Russo hets. I've seen some that were really light colored and some that were darker. I was thinking they have some kind of head marker. She doesn't have a marker, but as the pics show, she has some nice blushing on her head. I'm pretty sure her belly looks similar to some of the Russo het pics I've seen.

Thanks Ginevive! I agree with you about her not leaving! Yeah, she doesn't look anything like a Pastel in person. Something cool is definitely going on. Also, it doesn't show up in the pics, but she has eyes similar to some of the co-dom morphs.

Thanks Justin! I thought she looked similar to the Russo hets until I went to his website and looked at the pictures of them. They are definitely different, but there are some similarities. My girl looks to be more yellow than the Russo het and she doesn't have the head marker. She has a nice blushing on her head that you can see in some of the pics I posted.

Whatever she is, it will fun trying to prove out!

A clear belly if I ever saw one... and those flames along with her overall color make her super special... :)

Enough about the snake, what kind of camera are you using?

Im not seeing pastel , no way. But she is gorgeous, and do I smell maybe a white hatchling in the future? I guess we'll all have to wait and see!

From my relatively limited observations it seems that many codom light snakes have less dark pigment in the tongue. This seems to always hold true in the Fire line, compairing 100+ animals.

That snake seems to have more of a platinum complex belly and does not have the typical "jagged" edged markers I look for in Fires. None the less it's a cool snake and will make you some awesome offspring :gj:

Whatever she is, she was hard to let go of.

Hope she makes something cool for you.

Thanks for the help Cue! Since you brought up the subject of Fire markers, I've got another CH that I would like to get your opinion on. I'll start another thread and post some pics. I know he's not going to be as "special" as this girl, but I would still like to get youz guys opinion of him.:D
