So many choices!!?!?!!!?!!!

Hello everyone!! This is my first post on this forum. I have a 7 month old albino female. I want to get a male to breed with her for when she is large enough. The problem I'm having is that there are SOOOOOOOO many possibilities. :rolleye2: I know it's a matter of opinion, but what would you recommend to get for a breeding project. I'm probably looking to spend under $800-$900for the male although more is not completely out of the question. Thanks!!!!!! Chris

Welcome Chris :gj:.Well it all depends on what you want to produce when you breed your albino.Like everyone says keep only animals that you love or else you will get bored caring for it ;)

A male spider is probably my top choice so far, but I have no idea what I want yet

What about a pinstripe?

Why not get a male het albino and a female spider or pinstripe, or a male spider het albino.

a male spider het albino would be a good choice

Here what come to my mind Spider - Pinstripe - Axanthic (all of them are in your price range)

I would go for recessive morphs because it's more fun :D

Just to clarify...a "caramel albino" is just a longer name for a caramel.

It would take you several years (two generations of offspring at minimum) to get a snake that was homozygous for both albino and caramel, and the last discussion I saw on it, people were guessing that it wouldn't look any different than a normal albino.

Involving Albinos. My favorite combo potential involves albino x axanthic combos that involve ivories :)

I like the spider or pin personally. Have you seen Adam Wysocki's albino pin?

In regards to the albino x caramel albino...

albino = T-
caramel albino = T+

A negatvie plus a positive equals 0, nadda, nothing. Seems logical that they cancel each other out and that there is visual double homozygous animal. But, each baby would still be double het.

If I breed an albino female to a pin male, would I get something good right away, or would I have to wait and breed those back when they are large enough to try to get something good? Same question for a spider male with my albino female.

You would get Pin Het For Albino and Het Albino (50/50)

Keep a male pin raise him up and breed him back to mom (your female albino) to get Albino Pins

Same for Spider.
