    FedEx Weekend Shipping ?
Why do most if not all sellers only ship monday to wednesday? No weekend delivery for live animals? Is it because fedex dont allow live animals deliveries on weekends? Im confused. :confused:Thanks for any input.

Because what happens if your package was lost on a thursday, and found on friday, you wouldn't get it till saturday, it costs more to ship over night on saturdays, and what happens if it gets shipped on friday and it is stoped and you cant get it till monday! It is just safer.

take the day off of work when youre expecting a package, and cover a shift that comming weekend ( if possible)

or work a later shift that day ( and i might have just noticed you may have been joking :))

Your best answer is to go to a show, and make all of your purchases in person on the weekend.

Next best thing is to have someone accept it for me, but everyone is scared(w/ reptiles) in my family. lol. haha:P

If your shipper requests it, they will hold the package for you at fedex and you can pick it up. We have done this several times. The ladies at the fedex counter always want us to open the box and let them see the "pretty snakes".

That's what I did with my last package, found the FedEx location closest to me (mine stays open until 8 pm) and I knew that my snake was in a temperature controlled environment at the facility, as well as being packed professionally, so I wasn't worried at all about him. Simply stopped by there on the way home from work and he was still toasty warm.

Temp controlled in that it's inside a building where employees are working, rather than on a cold truck in the winter or hot truck in the summer experiencing temperature extremes and it's still inside it's insulated box.

I dont think the people at kinkos would want a box with snakes inside in the building lol. They won't even accept a package with reptiles inside for shipping thru fedex ;)
