    Blood Balls???
Does anyone know who breed these? or How difficult it is?

    Pics?

They are basically made by breeding a ball python with a Blood Python. If you didn't know.

Ah yes, the super ball. Haha, funny it takes a Breit to make a normal BP super! :) All bloods are super in my eyes. ;)

I have to admit though, the F2's are pretty...

I think what makes most people frown on the "hybrid" crosses is the possible genetic screwups.Just think of the dog world and the "designer" dogs .I predict its going to be one big blowup in the "mutt" world soon ;).

I think they are really neat looking.

I don't judge people when they want to create a Hybrid, its their snakes. However they MUST and stress that, represent the animal for what it is. A hybrid. That way the gene pool doesn't get screwed up over time, and we have all these weird mixes.
I just think they need to be very careful. The only thing that really worries me is the scammers and scumbags out there who want to make a quick buck, and do so by lieing, and misrepresenting an animal.

Anyway, I really do think they are very neat looking animals.

There actually not a cross between bloods and balls. Short tail and Ball. From what I understand they are the only ones that will cross. Im not sure which locality though, either the borneo short tail or sumatran short tail aka "black blood"

Its a borneo and a ball python. Breitensteini (sp?), Russis has it in that post of the Superball.

I love the way they look. Haven't had the chance to see one in person yet, but they look sweet in the pics. Haven't seen anyone selling them or advertising for them...wonder what they are being sold for F1 and F2???

funny you said that. I stumbled across Jon's Next World Exotic's advertise for this guy on kingsnake no more than 2 weeks ago. It's the last snake for my shipment...last minute shopping.

A year ago I had a chance to get one superball directly from Steve Roussis, but got some problem with import permit so I missed that chance.

Actually this one I import for my customer but the deall fell through, I might keep him. Need to get a snake hook first lol

what did you pay for the super ball?

so blood ball's are also know as superballs? Is that the name given to the hybrid?

I have a local shop by me that has one blood python and i was thinking about picking it up and seeing if I could produce a hybrid? Good Idea? bad Idea?

Bad idea. Bloods are waaaay different than BP's in personality, activity and lifestyle. If you jump into purchasing a Borneo, go with a responsible and reputable breeder over a pet store! The animal will be better off coming from a good breeder than a pet store purchase. Hands down.

If you want to get your feet wet with a borneo, buy one, but it takes more experience for breeding these two completely different pythons. They are from COMPLETE opposites of the world, and getting to know each species on a personal level will help with a successful breeding farther down the road.

I just don't like the idea of "Imma buy this snake to breed it to that one and see what I get" Build your experience before you attempt anything more. Just my .02 cents.

    Re: Blood Balls???
    FYI
That picture I got from Jon, I didn't take picture of the real animal yet because it's in the shop waiting for my customer to come pick up, maybe he won't I don't know. But if the deal is definitely off, I'll take him back and take picture of him myself. But I really need a snake hook, never use one ever since I keep only ball python.

PS: I don't feel comfortable to post price for super ball in here. Let just say I've had offer to sell them from $1,500-$3,000 from different breeders.
