    Poss granite
This is a female that I got last year. I also got a male that looks like her but much better, his head his pretty sick looking and his speckling is larger blotches. He is locked up with some girls right now so I can't get any pics of him, when I tried earlier he wouldn't sit still. I am hoping they both prove out genetic granite and next year I'll possibly get a super granite (she isn't ready this year).

The only ebony to my knowledge that as produced was by Amir. It was a granite looking to yellow belly but the mom may have had something other. I thought I heard he had tried the pairing again and has not produced any more ebonies. I also thought that Greg has not produced any from his wc. At this point I don't think it has been proven genetic.

Wow, my first ever normal male looks exactly like that! His head is crazy looking...I've never seen one like it, until yours. He also has the granite speckling, tons of flames, and a clear belly. I've just thought he was a neat normal, but...maybe he's a granite. :-)

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I'd like to know what people think about this girl. I thought I knew what granite speckling looked like, but I've seen some granites that look different than what I thought I was looking at. Here is an '05 normal female I have that looks kind of like a few granites I've seen. Can anyone tell me what they think? Normal, right?

slartibartfast you may have a granite. I just got to see if she turns out genetic which will be awhile.

She is a very nice looking female. With most mine that look different like that I generally assume they are normals but am going to breed them out just to be sure. I wouldn't say that is a granite. The granites that I have seen to be genetic have speckling where the alien heads generally are. What I like about your girl is the light spot on her head, the flames, and the belly. She may not be a granite but she may surprise you if you breed her out etc...

Hard to tell by that pic, she's looking normal to me with speckling but you will need a better pic of the pattern to determine for sure. Have you read the hunter's guide for granites? It has great info.

Best part about Ball Pythons is proving out things IMO. That is a very nice female. No matter what she is a quality Ball Python for breeding and should throw great babies.
