Re: purchase/rescue mojave
Thanks. She ate for me on Sunday, so hopefully she'll keep it down and eat lots more!!!
Re: purchase/rescue mojave
Congrats on you getting her and her finding a good home :)
Re: purchase/rescue mojave
Its always nice to hear of a rescue, and one that works out at that. But any rescue is a great one. Congrats

Re: purchase/rescue mojave
Love to hear about rescues :) Good on you! Nice looking snake too!
Re: purchase/rescue mojave
Thanks guys! I have certainly spent a lot of money on her by now lol. It will be worth it to have her around though. She is a cool little snake, and is really a trooper!
Re: purchase/rescue mojave
Mojaves are hot, best of luck with her!
Re: purchase/rescue mojave
Wow, she is a gorgeous snake for all that she's been through. I guess that idiots (her former owner, not you!) can neglect morphs as well as normals. Sad, but happy that you got her away from that loser.
Re: purchase/rescue mojave
I am going to have her on a five-day feeding schedule for now until she bulks up. Hopefully she bulks up soon because I hate to see her spine sticking up. I took her out real quickly today and besides being frightened of my big scary hand she seems OK. She is alert and her mouth now looks completely closed, instead of swollen.
I will feed again on Friday and hopefully she will be hungry (she looks hungry to me now, but I don't want to overfeed).
Does anyone know about how long it may take for a baby BP to chunk up after being starved like this?
I want to make sure that I feed her at an appropriate size/schedule for her condition without overloading her.
