Tired to chew my hand

I had my blood out this weekend and had been holding for about 10 mins while watching tv and I get this kind of wierd feeling in my hand, didnt hurt or anything, and I look down and then I feel the prick of some of his teeth and hes kind of chewing on my hand. Didnt strike or anything. I pulled my hand away and he just went about his usual business looking around and moving through my hands slowly.

Is it wierd that he did that? Ive never been chewed on by a snake, or any reptile by that matter, just my rats and my dog.

prob yawned and caught your hand in his yawn, or your hand smelled of pee or something the could relate to rodent smells.

I actually had my Ball Python do that to me once. I watched him do it too, he slowly just opened his mouth and kind of chewed on my hand for a second. Didn't hurt at all, it was really weird. He never did it again. It was different that yawning. All I could think after that was, "oh how nice, snake spit" lol.

I'm almost jealous that I haven't been gently chewed on by my snake, LOL!

Those red bloods are getting to me. Im constantly on ks looking for a good one that i think would be red like yours or kara's.

I wish I would have seen him start to do it so I could see if it was a yawn or he was actually chewing. When he gets rat pups he doesnt strike at em he just bites em and swallows, but when he eats mice he strikes at em cuz they move. He could have smelled one of my rats on me and may have been hungry. This happened saturday and feeding day is sunday.

This happened to my son at a show in VA. I am a ball python man but picked up a blood out of curiosity, had an empty 20gal long at home. Got in the car and he took it out to look at it. Fine for about 2 minutes then it just opened his mouth and started gnawing on him! Never seen anything like it, no strike at all just chewing on him. Son said it did hurt pretty bad, he has been bitten plenty of times by balls. Blood everywhere!! I took it back and traded it and a little more cash for a Pastel! Reminds me why I am a ball python man.
