-Lemon pastelXlemon pastel, super lemon pastel?, any name for it if so?
Killer bee
Quote:
-lemon pastelXspider, maybe a lighter colored bee??
Just a Bee but lemons do make better bees

and would i get half lemon pastel from a lemon pastelXnormal breeding?
Yep each egg would have a 50/50 chance at being a Lemon.
Re: A few morph questions
Lemom pastel x Lemon Pastel is Super Pastel or Opal-not Killer Bee.
Re: A few morph questions
pastel x pastel would just porduce supers pastels/pastels/and normals.........
i think freakie frog thought there was spider in there
Re: A few morph questions
Yea I misread ..wow long weekend..
Right on guys great catch
Re: A few morph questions
thanks guys,
because i wanted to buy a pastel and a spider to produce some bees but then i saw the awesome color of a lemon pastel, i should be getting one pretty soon
i wish i had the money to buy a cinnamon and a spider right now
Re: A few morph questions
one thing to bear in mind is lemons are highly variable and some dont hold their colour as well as others, it all depends on the parentage. mine has started to brown out a bit but i saw another users on here that is brighter than mine ever was
Re: A few morph questions
so basically, dont get a lemon unless it looks something completely brighter and deferent from a normal pastel

I could have sworn the opal ball was the result of a Graziani pastel and a lemon pastel pairing.

The Opal is the new term for Super Pastel. Doesn't matter what Pastel is used.

Actually Opal is not new, it was a term used back when Super Pastels were first hatched. It just seems to be making a comeback as of late.

Well, here's some contrast for you with my lemon and how he's aged:
These are the first pictures that Adam of 8ballpythons sent me of Winston and said he was going to be a smoker as he grew. I will admit that when I first saw them I went ....um....ok.... (Adam already knows this story).

Adam says "trust me - he's going to be HOT!" - so, I trusted him. Next pictures I get of Winston are:

and
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...winstonJan.jpg
I still wasn't convinced he was going to be "all that", but then one day Adam and I were talking and he said "wait until you open that box, you are not going to believe how hot Winston is now" (now, Winston was "picked out" in September of '06 but he wasn't shipped until late January of '07 because of my time off limitations).
So, I open the box and I find this:

oh no - wait - this:

and over the past year, he's gone on to this:

and this
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e9...nstonJune5.jpg
and this

and my favorites!

Bottom line - find a breeder that you trust. I trust Adam implicitly. Despite my initial - "ok, whatever you say, Adam" reaction to Winston's first pictures, I'm glad I trusted my breeder, and I couldn't be more thrilled with my lemon pastel!

Pssst....it's the female normal in shed, my friend! :P
Winston's head is in the back of the picture just peeking up behind her back.
