Gotta say, this one irritated me just as much...

That cage is tiny, and filthy. Granted giants do not need alot of room, vs what some people believe...but too little room does just as much, if not, more damage. Think of all the respiratory effects.... If your going to be breeding these Pythons, I sure hope you've changed up your husbandric practices, and are up to par with their requirements, and needs....

Re: Im Gettinghappy :)
He's been told many times... he does not and has not changed.
I feel bad for those two snakes, and their future progeny.

Re: Im Gettinghappy :)
This is where the "disposable" pet trade comes....
I feel sorry. Such a gorgeous rock python species, stuck in a condition like that, and under those circumstances.... I feel bad for any animal that'd have to live like that...

Yeah, they all look pretty small. Those snakes must be growing too fast to keep up with proper caging. Who would've thought?

Meh, whats going to be more of a shock is hatching 30-40...possibly 60-70 babies, over 18"-22" long, needing rats, right out of the egg...
I hope someones changed their husbandry, and did their homework. Otherwise....well, do I even have to say?

Re: Im Gettinghappy :)
Oh, but they are not all his snakes. They are his step dads or something, he only has a few... (yes, sarcasm)

Re: Im Gettinghappy :)
Let's not sink down to the level of bear-baiting, folks. Questions and concerns about plummer's husbandry have been raised. Fair enough. We don't need to continue piling onto that before he gets a chance to respond and address those concerns.

Re: Im Gettinghappy :)
Amd why are they breeding on the carpet?
-
Re: Im Gettinghappy :)
Gotta have carpet for that man! That, some scented candles, and some Barry White playing. Only way to get it done ;)

So an accidental breeding....nice.....
Along those lines. I'd like to see pictures of the bigger, clean, cages with the animals in them. I'm sure others would as well...

Glad you were planning on doing it anyway. Maybe you can clean one cage at a time in the future in case timing isn't right or you don't plan it.
What are your plans for the offspring?
-
Re: Im Gettinghappy :)
My question as well. What are you planning on housing the offspring in? Do you have the funds to properly house and feed the hatchlings? Do you have the proper knowledge on Burmese Python husbandry to care for the babies, as well as the knowledge on incubation, rearing, sexing, etc?
Also, I would still appreciate some photos of properly cleaned, proper housing, for the animals, as you claimed you had...
-
Re: Im Gettinghappy :)
I agree with Andrew and would also like to see the pics of the improved conditions. I think a plan and proper equipment is always in order to breed any animal much less owning them.

You can still seperate them. In most cases, it takes more than one breeding for a female to ovulate.
How big is this female? Length and weight wise.
