OHmigosh!! Reptile Radio!!!

Just a little over 48 hours until Yours Truly will be broadcasting her voice for all the world to hear! :O ....eep! I'm SO nervous...but mostly in a good way. VERY excited!! (And OHsoglad this isn't video, too! :rofl: )

I know I haven't been visible much lately....been pretty sick this week, as well as doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work. I'll be hanging out this evening though, and try to be more present. I feel like I've been neglecting y'all!

ANYhow....what do y'all think about BPnet getting represented on Reptile Radio??? I'd love to hear your thoughts. And if there's anything in particular that you'd be especially interested in hearing us discuss. Not that I can make any promises that everything mentioned here would be touched on...but maybe someone has a question or topic that would be beneficial to the site and the world-at-large that we haven't thought of.

You should mention that this site allows people to post there websites. myspace pages. classifieds. ETC. And its FREE!! For now atleast LOL.. The other sites are getting Very hard on people posting like that.. Good Luck Judy!! I'm calling in for sure!!! UNMODED and stuff LOL!!

Thanks, Aleesha! I've gotta fill the first half-hour of the show. Just talking with Larry on the phone the other day...the time FLEW by without a single break in the conversation. I think that 30 minutes will speed by like lightning!

Hehe...I probably won't ever listen to my show. :oops: Although I promised my hubby I'd download a copy and put it on CD to mail to him in Afghanistan. He's really excited for me!

I know my voice sounds better in my head...LOL...I have gone back and listened to a few of the shows - I can't ever get past the 1st five minutes without realizing how much of a redneck I sound like so I stop listening...LOL...

I like Robin's idea to share a bit about how this site has grown over the years and how it's stayed true to it's original aims while dealing with some pretty impressive growth in membership.

Great job on being asked to represent Bp.Net - I will be listening from good old Ireland!!

One topic you could address relates to something that one of the other interviewees mentioned on a recent show (can't remember who it was) - they said that of all the reptile and BP sites/forums they visit/contribute to that BP.Net is the worst for politics/fighting/flaming etc

I have been a member for a while, dont do a lot of posting but value the info/support that the site offers. Yeah sometimes threads do take a turn for the worse but with as many people and personalities that post here that is likley to happen from time to time.

Go on - dispel the perception that this isn't a friendly and welcoming forum!!

One observation that I think Dave B touched on was that there are all kinds of people that are involved in this wonderful hobby. Age, race, financial status, LOCATION! :O We've got members from just about everywhere you can think of... I'm sure this is all stuff you've got noted :rolleyes: LOL

I've listened to all the shows, and I don't recall any interviewee saying that about bp.net. I do remember that being said about KS though.

LOL...well, I'm not a breeder....I'll be talking about what it's like to run this sort of Internet Community and what Ball-Pythons.net is all about. But when you go to their website, you'll see links to other shows you can listen to with tons of really awesome breeders and lots of great advice.
