It is FINALLY snowing in Virginia!

I think we have more today then we have had in 2 years together around here!

whoo hoo.. somebody else has snow :D. Nice house Susan. Cute dog Meme, looks a bit confused at the snow though. Isn't watching people sliding on the snow and ice funny, until your the one in the car. then not so fun :rolleye2: enjoy it while it lasts.

It snowed a little bit here. Started around 8 something. I don't know, I was in bed half asleep and my fiance calls from the front door that its snowing. I look out the window, see that its snowing and fall back asleep. I just woke up now and its almost all gone save for a few patches. Gotta love Virginia snow.

She really does live across the street! lol

Sway is the man............i would chill with him anytime!

I have a fantastic picture on my cell phone of me trying to drive home through white out conditions with at least 6 inches of slush and ice on the road and night fast apporoaching.
Oh yea... snow and me don't get along.

I love to watch people slide on snow and ice as long as they don't get hurt. ;)

I flipped my car on black ice a few years back so I rarely even drive in it.

Sway was confused...lol She wanted to stay out there but she waas shaking and freezing so I made her come in.

Nice! Snow!! We haven't gotten more, but temps are staying below freezing in the day and in the teens and less at night. Yuck!
When I lived in Virginia, we'd get some snow (measurable) every winter! I remember the kids 'saucering' down our front hill in it. When I was in jr high and high school in Potomac, Maryland, we'd get snow too- and wicked ice storms- but snow as well.
Maybe with soooo many more people out there everybody's breath is just warming things up too much....! Hey, why don't some of you move out here~ to the left coast!! Right on!
So MeMe, shut off your 'puter and go and play in the snow!!!! Cute pup by the way; but they do get cold. My son has a pitbull and he shivers in the cold! So pathetic!!

I have lived in Virginia forever it seems and I can totally remember us getting A LOT of snow every year.

but I wish I could convince Jeff to move somewhere that is warm all the time! He 'likes' the 'changing of the seasons'.

I have terrible allergies and i absolutely HATE to be cold...so I would much rather be down south. ;)

But if it is going to be cold...I want snow! lol

Our Lab, Bella, is stupid happy about snow...playing in snow, eating great mouthfuls of snow, laying down and wallowing in snow, biting at snowballs tossed at her....she's all about snow! I'm all about muttering that my toes are freezing off and can we please go back inside now LOL.

Jeff throws the snowballs at her and she catches them with her mouth...so funny! Bella sounds like she does what Sway does in the water! She is all about the hose. She loves to get sprayed and tries to catch the water in her mouth and just jumps around like a mad dog...IT is so funny!

She used to get in my bathtub and I would turn the water on and she would play in it forever.

I love snow but I hate driving in it. Here in MD it's the pits right now. Accidents everywhere!!!! I almost got into one on my way home just an hour ago. >.<

yea..i hate it also.

The schools here allowed the kids to go this morning and now the Sherriff's Dept has told the schools not to release th kids early due to the accidents and they need to get VDOT to clean up a little.

VDOT was not even prepared!

I really hate this county when it comes to the schools. They keep the kids home when there is a 40% chance but when there is a 100% chance...they send them. :rolleyes:

Awww.... no snow here in Chesapeake, VA. Just rain, BLAH. But I suppose that is what happens from living so close to the ocean.


We did get a few snow flakes on Tuesday though, for about 5 min then it stopped. I could use a really good snow day and a day off (only time I like the snow, although if we get an inch of snow here the whole city shuts down)!! LOL. Plus my son has never really seen snow and neither has my Lab, I think they would both LOVE it.

good to see you were out having fun while im stuck behind a desk watching it though a window...sucks that it melt all over but on the other hand b101.5 said we had 30 accidents in a 10 mile radius. rt 17 was shut down, rt 1 was shut down, they shut down lafayette blvd because people were sliding down the hill into traffic and across the light...

One thing I hate about Florida...no snow :(

We had a bit of snow yesterday, but it melted overnight! :( The kids were so sad.... no snow and school was still on. I hope you have more time to enjoy your snow than we did. :rolleyes:

Oh and we do have cold here in the south. It's been really cold for 2-3 weeks off and on this winter. :giggle:

I miss Virginia, I want to come back and visit and see my family.


We got about 9 inches on a Sunday and there was still school the next day. It recently snowed for a week almost non stop, and they only had one day off of school. We gets tons of snow, but rarely snow days, glad I am not in school anymore lol.

My hubby had fun in the truck.
Spent lots of time teaching the kids to ski, and going sledding. Now its too cold to do anything.

I just got done shoveling the driveway, at least 4-5 inches of snow.... Good ol snow plows left a HUGE mountain in front of the driveway for me to shovel away again....bastage!

It's stopped snowing here...but it likely will stick around with 7 degree temps!

I'm staying inside!:D

we only got 3 or 4 inches and only 1 more inch expected tomorrow. which is fantastic because i HATE snow! man, do i live in the wrong state.... :D

Looks like a cute, enjoyable snowfall :) Not like ours here that incapacitate you and make you crash into fellow motorists! We have been VERY lucky thus far, this winter. But a few years back, we had 8-foot drifts. Since this is my first year driving in winter (yes, I am 27 years old..) I am relieved. But it is pretty bad out out tonight! We usually measure our snow in feet, not inches ;) I have found that Jeep Wranglers are awesome vehicles to do donuts in!

I actually agree. I would not mind the snow, if, say, I worked at home and only had to venture out sometimes. But this daily commute to work can be treacherous! And it's only a 15-minute drive on a good day, one way, for me. Maybe you'll see me online during the day tmrw. as a result of calling in to work.. lol.

My wife called me earlier this morning and sent me a media text of the snow they got up in Maryland. I came back to Texas about two weeks ago, didn't get to see no snow, and it's COLDER here than it is in Maryland right now.. crazy.

Burrr. It was 54 today! Almost needed a jacket.....The other day it was 65...hehe. I miss the snow. Susan has a very nice house, love the forest. Gorgeous pit! And I want to see some trampoline jumping!

Haha... You have more snow that I do... That always seems funny to me...

We had to cancel our resort weekend and snowboarding this weekend because there's no snow... The one and only time I've wanted snow in South Western Ontario and we have none going on 2 or 3 weeks now.
