your "pets"

come on lets make an updated master list of animals you currently have, from horses, to snakes, to fish, exc and their names if applicable

what are your planned animals for this year also?

we have

four pet rats (three dumbos one standard ear):
Kitty, Belle, Lena and Lacey
three crested geckos:
Hallo, Trick and Traid
two bearded dragons:

two ball pythons (one pastel, one normal):
Hazard and Cameron
two red eye tree frogs:
#1 & #2 (yes that really is their names, and no i cant tell them apart) lol..

we also have a cuboard of insects and feeders...


as for this year, we plan to add at least one spider female and are leaving options open for a possible piebald (big maybe) and perhaps something else, still undecided as to what...if trick or traid are males we plan to trade them for at least one female. otherwise those are our "plans" unforseen animals are always possible :gj:

I bought him from a private breeder here in Florida. If you want one you need a class III permit from the wild life commission. As far as a pet ....He's like having a very funny, sweet and very agile 3yr old:) He is Great and makes me laugh all the time:gj: If I'm pissed when I come home he sit and pets my hair and grooms me:) will posts some pics when I get home tonight.

How do you go about getting these permits to keep such animals? I would hope its very hard to do so.

You need to apply for the permit by filling out a 3 page document in which they ask you about the animal, your previous experience and husbandry, and all about the animals natural habitat and how you plan to recreate it, also whom you will be using as your vet(and they do check!). I also got a call from a wildlife officer asking some more detailed questions about care and such. Then about a month later you get your permit or a letter explaining why you were turned down for it. Not the hardest thing to do, but the wait time and all the questions probably weed out the jerks and money makers:)

That's very cool.. I'd love to meet a lemur sometime! I just think they're such interesting animals.
