Right after a shed! love this guy! *DUW*
I picked up this guy a about a month ago! I was supposed to have a pair, but the snake Gods didn't want it that way!
He is an Lampropeltis triangulum gaigeae (Black Milksnake)
*Eats like crazy
*Fast as a bullet
*Always alert
*Easy to keep
*I'm a Ball pythons guy at heart, but I really like these guys! I will have more in the near, near future! Just a joy to keep!
Once again i stink at taking pictures, but trust me, he is a stud!
He will be completely Black by 18 months i believe**

Congrats and a nice looking snake! Gaigeae are awesome. :D
They do calm down as they get older, but are still a lot more active than a Ball. They're a lot of fun, though. :gj::snake:

Oh Tyree I second that motion....lots of pics as he goes through his color change. I've always wanted a Black Milksnake, both for the color change and I believe them to be one of the largest of the Milks (I think I also read that they are one of the only snakes that the male outsizes the female but I could be wrong on that bit). Lovely snake!

Re: Right after a shed! love this guy! *DUW*
I've heard they usually start turning black within a year. Any updates on what he's looking like?
Re: Right after a shed! love this guy! *DUW*
Beautiful Black Milk Reediculous, Im jealous. I ordered one about three weeks ago, but the weather hasnt been cooperating for shipping. Im hoping sometime next week there will be a night warm enough for me to get him. I am really psyched about getting him, I have wanted one for a long time now. Yours looks a little bigger than mine, mine is only about 14 inches; I will post some pics when I get him. Keep in touch so we can see our milks grow together. BTW, what is your room temp, my house is 65 most of the year round, I'm thinking of having a 75 degree UTH for digestion, what do you think?
