New Crested*
i was at my local pet store today, to pick up some things, and i left with a Crested gecko.
She was sitting in a ten gallon tank with repti bark, and about 10 large crickets crawling all over her. It was about 90degs in the room, and her tank was dry as a bone. The people they have working the reptiles aren't that good. I spoke with the manager, but he doesn't seem to care.
This was a tough one, because i know i should not support these small companies if they can't keep their animals the right way. At least she'll be happy here! I hope she like CGD.
I weighed her and she's 40 grams. 3x the size of the male i have. Well here she is!
How old do you think she is? She has some scratches on her, and some stuck shed.

Re: New Crested*
Not sure on the age. At that weight I would say over a year old, but it kind of depends on what they were feeding her.
Oh man I love the crests on that girl. Great find, she's a keeper:gj:
Its so hard to leave them there, in those bad stores. I know how you feel. I have taken a couple home that I shouldn't have. I just can't help it.

Re: New Crested*
aaaw poor girl! she is gorgeous though! she will clean up to be quite a hottie. if i'd seen her at pet store i would have snatched her up in red hot second! :P
she is probably somewhere around a year and a half old, but like kristy said it's hard to say exactly. usually chain stores don't have adults, especially females.
do know if she was ever housed with other cresteds? often they are housed in groups and females end up gravid. since she is of good size you should be okay if that is the case, but do make sure she eats her cgd so she can keep her calcium reserves up just in case.

Re: New Crested*
she took some CGD, off of a spoon, I'm assuming she was housed with other cresteds because of the scratches on her........but who knows, this store takes almost anything in .........then triples the price....i hate that its the only store around!
