Fire x Normal
It's 04:15 AM over here and I was just ready to go to bed when I checked how the snakes where doing. I was really suprised when I saw this!

My -07 Fire from Bob Clark was locked up to my huge normal female. He's only 500 grams and looks like a little string compared to that 2½ kg female!
The girl is 8 years old and is a proven breeder. I bought her from a guy in the north of Sweden and her clutches that he got with her were 10 and 12 eggs.
When he asked me what I would like to pay for her I was just ready to say $300 when he said $50!

Re: Fire x Normal
u should have 50% fire and the other 50% normal, and i think it mostly depends on the male of how many egg will be laied. if i am right, then if this is his first mate it ill most likely make 3 to 5 eggs thats what i read in a book

Oh really, didn't know that. But since this is my first breeding season and I get one egg I will be very very happy just to hatch something out! :D

Nope-the number of eggs is entirely dependant on the female-size, age, and nutritional status. Male has nothing to do with it-unless he's SO small and young that his sperm is not yet viable (and even then the female will still produce a large clutch of infertile eggs) That's why large females are so prized by breeders.
Congrats on the hookup! I hope my '07 male does as well this season.

Where do you get your info? This is not true! The size and health of female determine the amount of eggs. Each egg has a 50% chance of producing a fire(co-dom) not clutch.
This is the second thread I have read that you are giving false/incorrect info. You should know your facts better before handing out advice/info. Nothing personal but we want to educate people not mis-inform:)

Thanks for the info, I was a little confused becuse I always heard that it is the size and health of the female. But I'm pretty new at this so I just swallowed his words

Agreed. :gj:
Lopez, perhaps you should gift yourself some newer BP books, it is a growing hobby, and we are continuing to learn new things. VPI comes to mind, and many many other people have said the NERD book is of equal value regarding BP's and the collective knowledge. Also, Phillipe Vosjoli is another great read.
Just some advice, keeping up with the current info is pretty important before you start giving people advice. ;)
