Post your racks pictures
I did not see any other post rack threads, so hopefully this is not a duplicate, if it is, post any new racks.:D I want to see every ones racks, what all it houses, what size tubs, and how you heat it.
Here is mine, it houses currently my Pastel ball, and is heated with a heating pad connected to a alife thermostat. The tub sizes vary, it can either hold alot of 12 quart baby tubs and one 90 quart, or hold four 31 quarts, four 12 quarts, and one 90 quart for a adult. The top i have my breeder rats in a 20 gallon, but as soon as this project is done they will be upgraded to a bigger tub. When my order arrives it will be heated by heat tape.
That's all i think, happy posting.

Here's my gallery of caging including racks: http://www.blueappleherps.com/page13/page9/page9.html
The melamine ones are heated with heat cable and the rest are flexwatt. They hold corns and balls.

and just in case you wanted to know if anything was inside! just a little sneak peak!
A normal male 07! Always hungry! wanted to eat me during this picture!

And an 05 normal female, who just plain and simple hates me! takes rats whenever she wants, and ruins her paper towel substrate in minutes after you put it down!

Re: Post your racks pictures
Awesome racks everyone. Im thinking about a custom one or one made by boamaster.....
Sticky?:D

Re: Post your racks pictures
I've been thinking of building one also. At my work we don't sell xpvc but we do sell pvc in sheets and in different widths that are 18' in length. I might try a small hatchling rack for fun or 41 qt rack and see how it goes.

Re: Post your racks pictures
I built two racks. My first one would hold about 20 41 qts, but it needed 3/4" Mel for the shelving units, instead of 1/4. my second one was much cheaper, and much better! Ill have to get pics. Hold on!:D

Re: Post your racks pictures
Here's mine. I just have one 10 tub at the moment. We're going to put the house up for sale, so I moved it in the closet. It fits great. Don't want prospective buyers freaking out when they see my kids. Now I just need to get a larger tub rack to put my big adults in.

Heres the whole setup.
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...4a647df3ab.jpg
Hatchling rack (9 slot - 12q tubs)
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...81e445c094.jpg
Adult rack (3 slot - 41q tubs)
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...1cb16854ad.jpg
The hatchling rack was built with high quality Birch 5/8" ply wood. Going to be sanded, finished, stained a dark cherry and sealed.
The Adult rack is a melamine rack I had laying around for a while...Changed it up a little. Soon to be 5/8" Birch as well. I noticed its ALOT sturdier than the melamine, and after its stained and sealed will look better than a high dolor PVC rack, but thats just my opinion.
I can set this rack up any way i want, because all the cuts are the exact same size (17" X 36") If I wanted to move the 41q tubs up top, I could, as the same with the 12q tubs to the bottom.
One reminder when building your own racks, and I completely over-saught this....Put card board on each level, than the tub on top, than screw in the shelf. I found this out the hard way, and had to disasemble the entire thing and start back to square one becuase my tubs were stuck. :x You want around an 1/8" gap between your tubs and shelves.
Adult rack is heated with 11" Flexwatt, and the hatchling rack is heated with 4" Flexwatt. The Ranco is mounted in a "secret" place to keep it away from my dumbass friends and small cousins from touching buttons that they shouldnt.
Im expecting a larger amount of snakes on Tuesday.
2007 1.0 Spider - 200g
2006 1.0 Pastel - 500g
2007 0.10 CBB - 1-150g
Im also adding to the hatchling rack...9 more tubs....Already got the stuff...just need to put it together. Im also going to be building another adult rack, as I see the need for it.
I have everything dialed in. Temps are stable to around 91.2 on the flexwatt, humidity is around 60%. Every thing is perfect. :D
Sorry for such a long post. Im done now.
My setup and commentary from another forum.

Re: Post your racks pictures
Here is my racks. I recycled a tv armoire for my juvi and neonate rack and built the adult rack.. I used 3" and 11" flex watt for the armoire rack and heat cable for the adult rack.
