Your realistic morph plans; please do tell (:
I was just thinking of creating this thread. It's a place to state your more immediate BP morph/combo breeding goals, as well as your realistic future production goals. I'll start

2008: I have my male Spider locking up with two normal females, in rotation (he gets rest periods and meals between breeding each female.) I have seen a few locks so far between the girls and him. I am especially interested in what Bela could produce with him, as she has no spots (well, one) in her pattern, and neither does my Spider.
I am also breeding my considered-normal striped male with a female who has broken striping along her back. My hopes are for a wild-stripe-esque genetic snake. If he is not, I still plan to keep him as a pet-quality male to use for showing visitors, etc. If I get nothing visual, I will hold back the females from him/her and breed-back. I also have normal females; one '06, one '07, that I am raising up for use as breeders eventually. I always plan on producing some dominants every year; eventually when I get a male orange ghost, as planned, I will run him with some females for hets. Maybe some het OG spiders or pins, anyone?

Sometime in/between 2008-2009: Will combine Pinstripe female with an undetermined male. I could run her with my Graziani pastel and go for lemon blasts. Or go for Spinners, combining her with my Spider. By that time, I might have a male lemon (a friend of mine is shooting for them this year out of his NERD line male, and if he gets them, it'll be a trade with/without cash; one of my spiders for a lemon.) Also by then, if not 2010: my female Graz will be big enough to breed back to her sire for Super Pastels. Which will lead to..

Longer term: I definately want to get some Super Lemon Blasts! WOW. This is one of the holy grails of BPs in my opinion.

In the next two years or so, I want to add orange ghost/het, albino/het, and piebald to my herd.

So how about you? I know that many of you are larger-scope breeders. Maybe you could share a special project or two with the rest of the class? :)

Well, it's a bit early for me to be posting here, but I do have a few plans:

If my little male pastel rescue pulls through, which it looks like he may do, I plan on breeding him to Nagini, my normal high blush female, once they are both big enough. :)

Unrelated here, but I also plan on getting a nice morph female corn this spring to breed with my Ghost male.

Sounds cool :) I read about the situation with the little guy, and I send you my best well-wishes for him. I can't believe the people who owned him, let that kind of thing happen.

I'll keep breeding my male Albino to my Het girl and a couple select normal females... keep the Het females I produce and sell everything else.

I'll use that cash to move onto a Lesser male and a Het Lav Alb male. Breed them to normals, keep the girls, sell the rest. Then further along the way buy a male Leucistic (Super Lesser) and a male Lav Alb.

I plan to get in on all the white phase morphs... and eventually the Patternless when Hets start coming out. I've already reserved the webpage http://www.MyWhiteBalls.com

I want to have Albino Pied one day. I have male albino at the mo and female albino coming in the end of this month. I will try getting a pair of pied together with this group. Make double het from these 2 pairs(Albino x pied and pied x albino) and cross them together. The rest is crap shoot. :)

Might take me at least 6 years but it would be fun...or not. I know price of albino pied will drop by then but who cares, I'll have fun :D

Also I'll have '06 female woma in my next shipment. I'll try to breed her to some morph(maybe getting Pastel YB male) then breed to other morph...to make Inferno. What I need now is the rest of the recipe(Spider?).

Re: Your realistic morph plans; please do tell (:
Well this year my first and probably only breeding plans are to make me some het clowns, and if i get lucky getting a particular female ,i may have a chance at producing a clown, but at the least i hope to get 2 possible het females to work with.

I've got a 07' VPI axanthic male at 8ball and a 06' albino female waiting out the winter for a good shipping time, if everything goes right ,I plan on producing some double hets for snow come the 09 season.

I have a CH blackback male, some of you may have seen, he's my side dinker project ,whenever he gets large enough to breed I may breed him to my albino female or to a normal, to see if theres anything to his awsome blackback, and perfectly clean belly of his, and if his genetics pass down or not.

Also since axanthic is my fav morph next to clown, i pretty much plan on trying to axanthicsize:P every morph I can get my hands on, I mostly want to make an axanthic spider cause those looks simply awsome.
One morph I think hasnt been attemptd yet is a caramel snow (caramel albino/ axanthic) I'm trying to imagine how that would look , a white snake slightly patterned with a light brown? I dont know, if it has been made anyome got any pics? Either way its a project I want to start a couple years from now.

well my plans are simple at the moment.. first get het pied pair.. then raise them up and get a pied.

am trying to get a pastel male, cinny and spider female.. you know what those combos produce :D

you can look at my signature and see what I plan on purchasing so my plans will go from what I can get and when I get them. Im looking forward to making my plans as I get bp's so this will be fun for me.

This year I should produce pastels, spiders, mojaves, lessers and normals.

Next year I'm hoping to try for bumble bees, pastel lessers or pastaves, pewters or cinnimon lessers, albinos, spiders het albino.

Hopefully by 2010 I'll have clown, spector, YB, fire and pied genes to work with, as well as shooting for some 3-4 morph combos.

    Realistic plans?
LOL, bringing me back down to earth again why don't cha?

So, we have a pastel male, 66% orange ghost. I would breed him to our female O. Ghost in 1 maybe 2 years, hope to see he proves out, otherwise have some het hypo's to raise up.

Breeding our het clowns together has me pretty excited. We have about 1 year left for the female to come to age.

I have so many different projects I want to get started on, it's hard to list them all, but I think we are well on our way. :) Just waiting for these girls to grow in the next 2 years.

Another huge thing I am trying to throw my finances at is the Sumatran short-tails. I would like Jade to be bred to a nice super dark male. And for Onyx, he has a girlfriend in mind, I just can't tell ya. ;)

And, I really want to get into the bloods this coming year. I'm hunting around, and may end up with some very nice purchases. :D (1.1 of course)

I want to be like Brad when I grow up...This year - Hopefully if the BP gods are smiling on me - Bumble Bees - Killer Bees - Pieds - Caramel Albinos - Albinos - Lesser Bees - Lessers - Pinstripes - Cinny Pastels - Pastels - Mojaves - LOADS of various Hets and a little somethen - somethen...

Next year depends on this year...:D

Well Im not planning on breeding anything this year. All I have are babies...

But in winter 2008 I plan on breeding my pastel male, to a few normals, assuming I got some by then.

But in 2009 I plan on breeding that same male to my female pastel and female spider. Can you say bumble bees!?

Eventually I want to work with albinos and pieds and shoot for the dreamsicles!

Just poss-het albinos this year :) Except my het albino has an interesting sort of harlequin pattern that I'm trying to parse, so it could go either way there.

2008 season i plan to kick it up a notch or two with a fire male, if at all possible. I have a lot of little lovelies coming of age between now and next season, so it could get pretty interesting.

    need more females!

I likely won't produce anything this season, my male's a bit small...however next year after Daytona I'm planning on pastels, cinnies, maybe spiders, normals...

or I just might blow all my money on a lesser male or a butter male. XD

assuming I get a cinny and spider male...within a couple years, bees, pewters, etc.

But what I really want is a group of 4-5 50-66% het lav females and 1 100% het male, and an axanthic or two. I loooooove axanthics!

Will just keep going from there and will acquire more different morphs as I go, like piebalds etc.

Like BT, next year depends on what happens this year, what I pick up along the way, how well the females progress etc..

I'm confused... You don't even have a thermometer or hygrometer (see other posts)... You can't sustain the heat in your house and you can't locate heat pads or space heaters... And now you want to breed? How about you work on the husbandry part first and learn a little about the snakes before diving into that one....

My plans are pretty simple. First year breeding, so limited myself to three project. Want to make sure I can care for, breed, and have all the resources in place before I go with anything to high-end.

    Right now
    pastel-normal
    het orange ghost-normal
    het blue ghost-normal
    - holding back all the girls, unless I get a good run of female pastels then will trade. Aiming for both ghosts, and super pastel. As well as SPOGs, and POGs.

    Future.
    - het pieds (for pieds, pied blue ghosts, pastel pied)
    - yellow belly pair (for ivories, YB pastel, pastel ivories)
    - granite - for ebonies
    - cinnamons - for supers and pewters (eventually silver streaks)
    - my ultimate would be two fires to produce a black-eyed lucie.

Lets see for me the next 3 years. Maybe alittle longer not sure depends on what kind of weight I get them to and all that. Also might change depending on any new snakes i buy from now untill then.

    Het clown X pastel,mojave,YB
    YB X YB,pastel,mojave
    Het albino X Het albino
    Albino X Pastel, mojave,YB

I have a few dinker things an 02 female to one of her sons. They both have the Het pied markers on them. I picked her up from the local pet shop. They are together right now. Then I have an 03 poss dbl het snow VPI line. I want to get him going save the females from him for him. See if anything happens there. Would be nice if he proves to be atleast Het Axanthic. I do have one of his 06 female babies. Im going to try them together next year along with a few other females so I can get more to breed back to him. Any babies his 06 daughter has wont be bred back to him.

Re: Your realistic morph plans; please do tell (:
My breeding plans are simple, because I only have a few snakes, and they go very far into the future, since I am waaaaay too excited about things that might happen in 3-5 years:

Next Season (Fall 08/Spring 09) or the next (Fall 09/Spring 10):

Cinnamon Female to Pastel Male- Hopefully hold back a male pewter and possibly a female cinny.

Pastel het Ghost to Spider het Ghost- Hold back whatever morph comes out that has a visual ghost in it (Pastel ghost, ghost, or honey bee), hopefully a male, any combination works.

My eventual goal is to cross a visual ghost (hopefully a pastel ghost) in with a cinnamon to get cinnamons, pastels, and pewters het for ghost. Way down the road I would like to make a pewter ghost, a silver streak ghost, or a super cinny ghost. I also plan to eventually get some albinos and to begin crossing them in with cinnamons to eventually make albino super cinnys (can't wait to see what that looks like).
