Oh I love it Robin! That'll be her name then! I think it's a her, to be honest I was so busy laughing at her funny pattern and snapping shots that I forgot to have a really good look at her butt end but I'm pretty sure it's a female.

I was intending to keep a couple of females from this litter anyways as her mother is a top producer for me so her unique markings just popped her to the top of that short list anyways. :) I'm starting to keep back new females this time of year in preparation for our growing need for feeders come spring/early summer. When possible I like to raise my own next generation female breeders and bring in fresh blood to the rat colony via buying males from outside sources.
