what color and what is he worth?
We've had a ball python for 5 or 6 years now, never had a problem with him. We are actually going to sell him as we just dont have the room and my son who owns him is losing interest.
But we were wondering what color he is. I noticed on the classifieds section they have different colorings. I didnt know that, I thought they were all the same!
Here's some pictures of him, any idea of his coloring and what he is worth price-wise would be wonderful! Thankyou!

Better pictures can be taken, if needed.

He's a normal... in a cage far too small for him.

In all honesty, I personally feel it would be best to give him away to a good home. Or charge a small adoption fee of $20 or $30.

    It's a normal male - normal coloring. If it's a male - about $30-
    $50

    If it's female - up to $100.

If you put him/her up for sale here - be sure to put it in our for sale section, as that's the only area where we allow advertising.

He shouldnt be in a cage too small. Its a 40 gallon.
He's only 3 1/2 or so feet. He's never tried to wander around. He loves his little box house and thats where he sleeps most of the time. Excuse the cage we were just about to clean it and it was abit of a mess. But here's a pic of that.

It's a 40 gallon tall... BPs are terrestrial and need more floor space. That living area is not adequate for him.

    Are you willing to ship?

We've had him for 6 years and he's been healthy as a snake. (no pun intended!:D)
We did not buy him from a pet store, we got him from a friend that has had snakes for over 20 years and has many, many different breeds..both poisonous and non. (he has a license or whatever its called)
He eats regularly and has never turned up food. He's in perfect condition. He is handled routinely and has a incredible temperment.

Yes..we are willing to ship if buyer pays.
    JasBalls, thankyou! he's very healthy.

Remember that to ship your animal, it must be done through Fedex and you must be certified to be able ship snakes to ship him.

Hm.. why not talk to your seller? I am sure that if he knew that things were not working out with the snake and you, he'd take it back. I am not sure how appropriate it'd be to ask for money per se in that situation. You could let him know that your snake is for sale, and see if he bites, or knows of anyone who's looking for a snake but can't find the right one through him.

    Yeah,
I'd say 40 just for the snake, 100 for the snake and the tank. (But I wouldnt use that tank for that snake anyway)
and if you find someone who is good with snakes and you trust them and you know ur snake will be in good hands then I would give him away even cheaper or free if you can afford to do that!
    GL!

Re: what color and what is he worth?
Ups or Fedex will usually ship without being an approved shipper. I use both all the time.

Your cage is adequate, not spacious, but it will due.

All of you who are saying otherwise need to look at some of the tubs your big breeder heroes keep their breeders in.

If the snake is a male, 50.00 is about right and if it's a female somewhere around 100.00.

If you need some help in prepping your box for shipping, and it's really not hard, shoot me an email.

This thread has been split. If you wish to participate in the actual discussion began by the OP, please do so. If you wish to participate in the childishness that was tosssed into the QT Room, then please do it there.

If you feel one of your posts was moved unfairly, I apologize. Sometimes the trash sticks to the good stuff.

If you wish to access the Quarantine Room, send a request to any admin via PM and we'll get that set up for you. (Although I'm heading off to bed now, so it'll probably have to wait 'til morning. ;) )

The Quarantine Room is a hidden forum where folks are allowed a little more freedom of expression. It's not a "free for all" place to brawl, but the Rules of the site are relaxed a bit and interpreted a bit more loosely. When members start bickering with each other or behaving in ways that may make the site look less friendly and welcoming to newcomers, we split off that discussion and put it in the QT Room. This way....they can continue to talk/argue/bicker if they want...and it doesn't junk up the public forums.

In addition to that, some folks have used the QT forum to spark occasional hot-topic discussions that would not have previously been tolerated on the site at all. (Religion, politics, etc) These are allowed to remain so long as they stay relatively civil.

Anyone who wishes it may have access to QT...but must ask an admin with a PM so we know you want in there. Not everyone does and we won't force it on anyone.

Hope that answers your (and other "newbies") questions about it!
