I just over heard the scariest conversation!

I heard this Asian couple from the sidewalk screaming something and this slapping sound and it was so scary. What should I do . Me and my friend were just walking around our neighborhood and we heard them from the sidewalk.

no we just heard a slapping sound. But then again that could have been a number of things

call the cops and have them check on the couple. sounds like they're having problems. maybe it will be a waste of time, or maybe you can save that woman from a lot of pain. (assuming what you heard was a man slapping a woman.)

If you don't want to get involved then why post about it? Either do something or drop it IMO.

Happy New Year... now if people would just stop with the fireworks so I could go to sleep.... grrr

But the only problem is that I wasn't sapposed to be there because my parents said. I really know this sounds so incredably selfish and rediculous. But my other neighbors say that its just most likely a couple fighting and I shouldn't be worried.

well you were the one that witnessed it, so you have an idea of the severity of the situation. if it truly was the scariest conversation you've ever heard, calling the cops sounds like a good idea. if there is a woman over there getting beat, getting yourself in trouble should be the last thing on your mind.

to tell you the truth i doubt that she was being beaten. maybe it was just him slamming his hand down on the table or something.

Alright dude get over yourself and call the cops don't tell your parents and if they find out be honest and tell them what happened they might be mad you were there but they will be proud there child isn't one to sit idly by as people who need help suffer.Other wise stop posting about it

The problem with not calling the police is that situations like this often evolve into something more serious. I know of cases when I was an MP in the Marine Corps when domestic disputes turned into domestic violence then into murder. When the neighbors were questioned in one I know of they admitted they saw the couple fighting in their driveway but didn’t think it was there place to call the police. This case ended with a car chase on the Kamahaha Highway in Hawaii with the husband ramming her car with her son in it. Then killed her and their son with a machete and killed himself with a self inflicted wound to the head.

So react how you wish someone’s life may depend on it

I am not trying to call anybody out here but I have doubts to the truth of this story, I hope I am right.

Yeah spending over an hour debating whether or not to call the police is never a good idea. It’s best to call them immediately so they can arrive on scene to them fighting because more times then not the female will deny everything or down play the whole situation after she has thought about it. If the officer sees marks he will take the other person into custody and that’s how officers get a frying pan to the head.

If this is true you went about this the wrong way. You don't need your parent’s permission to call 911

I would call the cops. I know of a few situations in the past that this was not done in, and things escalated beyond a normal argument.
