Hi thanks for the replies.I originally bought him as a high contrast albino, when I got him I could see he wasnt.Im delighted with him I think he is beautifull.Im not that experienced with different royals, what makes him look like a spider albino.

he is really faded and he looks like he has a very reduced patern, do you have a full body shot? That would really help.

Wow; that really seems like a spider albino to me. I could be wrong, but it looks like a spider pattern. Maybe at least a reduced albino, at least?
At any rate, it is prettier than a high-contrats, to me! I don't know how they even called it that..

I agree too that it either is a really good look alike or a spider, but how could a breeder get something that mixed up? Im sure at that time albino spiders were well over the $6000 range. do you have a baby picture?

Also what i said in the other post, it def looks like a albino spider, but how could a breeder get something that cost so much mixed up? Especialy since he would have to have a spider het or a.s to make one

You should breed him to a normal to see if you get any spiders, or you might have you own line of very reduced albinos going on! I would buy one.

Sorry no pics as a baby.He is approximately 2 and half years old.I paid for a high contrast. When I was picking him up he didnt look as nice as a high contrast.Maybe the breeder had a spider het albino and didnt know it.He probably put a full albino to his albino to get a full batch of albinos. This albino being the ugly duckling that turned out to be something different.

    i might have a thought

it is possible the breeder was hatching alot of eggs at once, and either he had all a few clutches in one tub, and they got mixed, (or different tubs, and this albino found its was to a albino bin)and he not know that he had a het spiderx het breeding, and thought it was a a odd ball albino, and that is why he called it a high contrast!

Thanks everybody for your help and support.Just another thought I had.I have a het albino female for him to breed to.If she is het for a high contrast albino will the different albinos be compatible. When breeding albino royals does it have to be high contrast to high contrast to get albinos. If you put a high contrast albino to an albino that isnt high contrast will you still get albinos.Hope it makes sense the way I have phrased the above.

Hey dude, dont be upset that it's not a 'high-contrast', you've got something thats WAAAAY more valuble than that! And alot more unique and cooler looking!! You got VERY lucky!! But apparently the breeder didnt realize what he had!

I am in no way an expert, but I think you would still get albinos. What kind? I dunno. Sounds like a fun experiment! Congrats once again.
