Does anyone have an ap cage? Do you have to use they're heat?

I've got my current flexwatt I'm using. And would like to re-use it. Save me some money :)

Just a quick question. Thanks for anybodys help!!

I believe there heat is different. They use what looks like heat rop. They dont use flexwatt. Its best if you use their heat or a rhp.
(someone correct me if im wrong. Just what Ive seen)

As far as flexwatt, It wont heat efficently through their thick boards.

    Good luck:)

I got the boaphile with 2x heat. Jeff has it glued/recessed on one side and the other side was separate. Which I taped on the the other half. Hold humildy well.

Things I learned and hated about it are...
    Poop stains(white cage)
    Easily scrached door
Obviously the wait...but I already new that before I ordered.

Heres a thread with fw and ap's

    What's they're belly heat? Like 45 bucks?

Its just a tad high. And I wanted to ask if it was possible to use my already bought flexwatt.

I don't mind spending the money. I'd just like to save money where I can. Thanks for all the repies everybody!

Try the CHE. I believe they offer the cage with a circle cut out for it. Not to good with humidy though.

I would strongly sugguest a rack.:) Thats what I am leaning toward now.

    What ever you do....Good luck..

Why don't you just ask the folks at AP if you can have your cage routed for flex-watt? They've easily accommodated custom requests that I've made...although I do use their heat cable instead of flex-watt.

I'm pretty sure they offer heat tape as an option, so they're probably familiar with the process of outfitting a cage with it.

    Re: animal plastics heat
I have changed my BP's cage over from the AP heat cable to just a Radiant Heat Panel and it has worked perfectly. Temps stay dead on and humidity is NEVER an issue. The RHP does cost a little more but over the long haul I think it is the best option. I have two T-10's (one thanks to KLG) and will probably purchase a third for my Kingsnake. I was using the heat cable and a CHE on the BP cage and I HATED it. The CHE is brutal on humidity and I have run into defective heat cables in the past, plus it is a pain in the butt replacing the cable in the routered channel at the bottom of the cage. It is tough to get it to sit in there nice and flat without popping back out.
