Re: what kind of???
I got the flukers it has hygrometer and thermometer in one. You can get it from reptilesupply.com. They are a great place to get supplies from online, but you may want to check around.

Re: what kind of???
Acurite combo with indoor/outdoor/hygrometer. It's a lot better and more reliable (unless you get it wet) than the flukers.

Re: what kind of???
is the flukers one pritty accurate? thats the one i have. but there is no way of telling weather or not is accurate.

We used a flukers, and bought the acurite because of the probe, and it being easier to just go and buy it from wallyworld. The flukers is stuck on the wall now, and usually reflects the ambient temps and humidity within a few degrees of the other ones we have placed around the room. Our's works fine in that sense. I like to be able to see the outside (probe) and inside temps and humidity all on one screen. I just prefer the acurite's and have a bunch all over the place in our room. :P

Are you talking about the thermostat or the thermometer? The thermometer is 35$, when in my opinion there are many more reliable "weather station" thermometers out there for way less.
as for the thermostat, helix is a great t-stat. But it is always a good practice to have a probe on the hot spot inside the tub. ;) to clarify, a thermometer probe on the hot spot. sry.

Re: what kind of???
whats the difference between a thermostat and a thermometer?

A thermostat controls the heating element, (flexwatt, UTH) a thermometer just measures the temps. A hygrometer measures the humidity. The thermostat has a probe to identify how hot or cold the heat source is and keep it at the temps you have set.
