    no poopie?
When do any of you say enough is enough without seeing any do do from these guys.

I was just checkin. I'm past the 3 month mark with my guy since his last poop. No lumps felt in his body anywhere either.

2245 grams he weighed in at yesterday. Usually gets at least a 65 gram rat. Usually 2 on feeding day though.

Drinks a lot. Pees. No urates or poop for 3 months. When is it time for concern? I know they're slower than most snakes. But when is it time for concern?

    Thanks guys!!!!

Try a warm soak in a tub with an inch of water once and a while...that might stimulate him to pass waste.

Being a newbie with all of this I have to constantly go to VPI and read about these animals not defacating often. It freaks me out when the BP's are so regular, but the bloods hold it in for so long. I don't know what threshold it would be for me to take action, but I would do exactly what is recommended from VPI and swim or soak them. Again, Dave said in that article to not worry about it... I dont know.

Mine went about 7 full months without dropping the bomb when I finally took him to the Vet. His back end was looking rather full. A car ride and a Vet handling him was stressfull enough on the fellow to get him crapping right then and there in the office.

This Doctor works with Blood's all the time and this is what she told me...young Blood's do keep in the poo for extended periods of time, mine going 7 months was nothing new to her. She considers it normal even with all of your husbandry being perfect.

My Vet visit cost 60 bones. It was worth it to hear a Vet say "your snake is just fine and eventually he would have went". If the worry is building up it never hurts to have the Doc take a look. Let us know how it turns out.

On the topic of pooping, I remember reading somewhere (no clue where, I could just be dilusional and be making this up) that when they are kept at too high of temperatures, it can lead to them having a hard time pooping? Anyone ever hear of this???

7 months?! No wonder bloods have the reputation that they do. Who wouldn't be grumpy after 7 months of holding it in?

Sonja recently went after several months of eating VERY well, and BOOM! :O

I looked at her, looked at the poo.... and started cleaning.

Took a while! I was expecting something giant, but man....

Jade pooped!! She is now weighing in at 806 grams, and I'm surprised again by how much these little boogers can squeeze out. :D That thing was as big as my palm. Granted, my hands are tiny little child's hands, but still, picking it up and flushing it was charming.

Well if you get a hold of it while it's still fresh you can shape it into all kinds of cool designs.

I once molded the poo into a likeness of Harry Caray but my wife made me throw it away. :weirdface
