Need good prices$$$

where is the best place to get bp and weres the cheapest place(don't want morph....yet)please help?:(

I believe NERD sells normals for around $30 plus shipping. You'd have to check out their site to check for sure. Unfortuantly I am at work and don't have the web address off hand....

The BEST place would be a local Herp show IMHO. You can meet the seller, look over all the snakes for sale, see if they seem like a honest person, see if the snakes look healthy and see which one you like best.
If you don't mind paying shipping, you can shop from online sellers that have good reputations like 8Ball Pythons here, and similar places.
You might find ball pythons for free or near free in local classifieds, as people who don't want them anymore. But you run the risk of getting a snake with health issues due to poor care given previous to you getting it. Could carry diesese, parasites, or be in poor shape.
Local herp stores are a possibility, although some are not good places, and some don't keep the snakes properly, and the price will be higher than the others. If it's a good shop, with good husbandry, you'll get a good animal, but not cheap.
It's sort of a universal truth. You can have 2 of 3 things regarding Fast, Cheap, Good. Fast and Cheap but it might be unhealthy. Fast and Good, but it won't be Cheap. Cheap and Good but you'll have to have patience for that to occur, since it won't be Fast.
Hope it helps, and make SURE to have the enclosure completely set up and running properly BEFORE you get the snake!

Go with a reputable source you trust, not just the cheapest source imho.

just google reptile shops based on your zip code, look for breeders or small family owned stores, even better would be a local breeder. That way you can get some first hand help and advice with your new snake.

I'd say either a local pet shop like pet supplies plus, petco, or petland... Most of the time they sell them for around 40-50$. But you could try and find a Reptile Expo near you and drive there because usually they sell normals for around 20-35$ sometimes cheaper.

Most of the pet store BPs are wild caught, keep in incorrect conditions and more often than not, unhealthy. I would steer far away from almost any petstore, except for a couple (Hmmm like Zoo Creatures). Wolfy was dead on on her post. I am sure there are some breeders on here who have some normals for sale.

Catawhat75, if only they lived near us. Reptile Expo is this week!

I'm real careful who I buy from at the expo too. I have about 5 people that I trust there, they are the only ones I buy from at the show. I haven't been in the last couple months, I may hit it this month.

Michael over @ ballroompythonssouth.com might give you a descent deal too. . .I know he does the lottery every year where you can get 10 pythons for $150 so you might wanna check them out.

go to a reptile show they sell normal for 25$ average and you dont have to pay for shipping soo look for a reptile shop around your city for the dates and times

I'm looking to get a pastel...who do you suggest?

I know Tim Koppenhoffer has pastels, I highly recommend him. He should be at both the Cleveland and Columbus show. Which one are you going to?

Ahhh ok, yea, Tim is right up front, the first vendor you see when you walk in the door- straight ahead. He is who I would say check with first. Carl Aiken is another good one if he is there. I tend to stay away from the Kick Bros. they are the ones on the left side with all the 10 gallon tanks and small acrylic boxes. Hmmm, Eric with Plantinum Reptiles/Reptile Tubs is another good one.

I honestly don't remember, but he is always around market price. He doesn't have any ads up on Kingsnake so anything I would say would just be a guess.

Yea Will is good people. He lives just around the corner from me:) I used to trade him rats for Bp's :D Can't go wrong there.
