    Best super pastel?
I am now set on getting a super pastel. I want one that will not Brown out to much when it ages, so what linage does not do this?

Take at look at this one, it definitely browned out

Does anyone have any sites that will direct me to good lines of super pastels?

Oh yeah, i did not know if this belonged here or in the breeding section, sorry if this is in the wrong section.

If I remember Albey Scholl (Albey here on BPnet) had a killer super pastel male for sale. Check out his website.

As far as lines...most have good and bad examples. Just make sure to buy one that catches your eye....

I'd definately recommend Albey. I'm blown away by the quality of that male super pastel.

    Whatever you want :)
I bought Graziani for its blushing (not a super; a regular pastel.) Whether or not he browned out, I knew that he would keep his blushing. I wanted to get at least one nice bright female out of him, and I did, so now he is technically "retired" but still a favorite snake of mine. I am going for Bees out of his daughter and my spider.
I actually have always liked the look of Graz supers. Browned as they are, I just like them. So there will be people (or at least one person, me..) out there who like them for their bronzy look and blushing tons. Eventually I would like to get Supers out of my boy and his daughter, but bees are more of a goal once she matures.

...Not all Graziani line pastels brown out. I have seen quite a few adults in person that could stand up with nice lemon pastels. Each line has its good and bad examples...I guess all you've seen are the bad examples...

If you use high quality pastels, you will likely produce high quality supers. High blushing...bright yellow... not brown on brown.

    Hope this helps.;)

You're right; not all of them brown out. But I still don't necessarily see browned-out pastels or supers, as bad. I like the bronzy look of some, with high blushing.

Lets just hope you don't like bright yellow bees.

Eh.. bees of any kind pretty-much impress me. I like the looks of some that have browned out.. then there are the bright yellow screamers. In all honesty, I can't or couldn't afford a higher-yellow pastel, so I got the Graz, but for his other merits (lotsa blushing) and took a shine to his father, a browned-out but high-blushing male owned by Dan and Colette Sutherland.
It is kind of complicated. I had not seen myself being able to get a Spider when I got the Graz. I figured on making pastels first with him, then maybe getting into supers, but then the time was right and the spider became available to me at the right price. Now I am concentrating on producing spiders this year, and I like my holdback Graz female from '07 b/c she does not show signs of browning out as much as her 6 pastel sibs do/did.
I have a local friend who's breeding his nice, bright Nerd line Lemon male to 2 females this year. Should I be blessed with spider hatchlings this season, we are definately going to strike up a trade that entails me giving Spider for some Lemon! When I saw this Lemon, it was the first one I had ever seen in person. They might be passe' to others, but I was blown away and really want a baby out of him. The more that I see Lemons, the more I am tempted. But I still like my Graz for his blushing and just as a snake in himself.

    Hi,

What is the story of mixing lemons and graz's to try and get a high yellow with extreme blushing?

Does it work and how would you describe any babies you had for sale as a result ( not counting any supers)?

    Del,

I would label them as simply pastels.
