Accu-rite seems to be the popular one. I am not sure if I spelled the name right, but you can find it at Walmart.

Yeah alot of people use the acu-rite brand, you can find them at walmart or lowes for like 12 bucks or so. I found another one at Target for about the same price, different brand but same features. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. Are any of these available on the net? Unfortunately we don't have any walmarts or lowes here in Ireland.

AaronT - which part of Ireland are you from - I am just outside Belfast, regularly visit the US and pick up stuff like Acu-Rite all the time - if you were close I could bring one (or more) for you.

Here is another version that has the temp and humidity gauge on the probes (Accurite's measure humidity at the unit)...that should can be found on the web.

I found this to be inaccurate and a pain. I spent $30 on mine (everything is still far overpriced in Canada, despite the strength of the $) I also didn't like how they ran on watch batteries, which cost more for one battery than a pack of AAA's Acuright runs on (a single AAA). Because it uses both probes to give an ambient reading, you can't check out the heat/humidity of just one side of the enclosure, which is what I wanted.

That said, I am in the market for a single hydro-meter without the temp at all. Anybody have any suggestions? Maybe something that can just stick on the class to give me a nice ambient humidity reading?
