    Severus & Morgaine
Okay Lynn you owe me BIG time LOL. I promised some of you, especially Lynn, that I'd take pics of Sev and Morgaine together but man oh man even with Mike's help it was a madhouse! One boa going this way, one going that way, get one in a nice camera posture, the other buggers off to see what's over there...which of course triggers the other boa to think "hey, if there's something good over there, I wonder what's over here???" and off that one goes to check things out.

These are the best two shots, most featured a blur of somebody's tail and Mike's hand trying to haul them back LOL.

Hey! What's over here? Let's check it out!

Sev checking out the little female. Like any smart chick she's totally ignoring him. :)

Taking pictures of one snake is hard, taking pictures of 2 or more is almost impossible, but you did a pretty good :gj: and the subjects look amazing especially the Morgaine.

They're such gorgeous snakes. I'll probably always *want* but never *get* a larger boa. Particularly one like yours. It's so cute how the male is darker and larger, just like any picture-perfect couple of fairytale lives. :P

The male's name leaves something to be desired, though... :evileye: Is that Severus as in Severus Snape? :bleh::doh: Eww.

Hey! I named him! :P Severus ended up being a good guy! And big ol' Sev boy is that sweetest snake one could ever meet :)

Jo... thanks so much! Lol, they both look so beautiful! I like the comparison shots. Sev is a very light boy, anyway, and that shows just how truly light Morgaine is. Also, their sizes... holy crap, what do you put in those rats over there??? Sev's a big boy and Morgaine's definitely giving him a run for his money already!

Thanks again, Jo! Lol, I love boa nosiness... but picture taking can definitely be a challenge with one of them, let alone two :D

Oh I have a feeling that your Morgaine's going to be a very big girl one day Lynn. She's literally growing before my eyes. I swear every day she seems so much bigger. The tiny hatchling that was too shy to eat without a cover on her tub is lonnnnnng gone LOL. Your little darling tried to nip me when I took her out for pics tonight. She's certainly not hungry and is good about being handled. I think she's just feeling her oats. Silly thing doesn't realize that bigger and faster snakes have tried those tricks and I'm pretty good at avoiding them. :)

Thanks Pam. While ball pythons will always be our main focus and our biggest passion, there's just something about a nice boa that makes our home complete. :)

Jo, beautiful pics of your boas. Is Morgaine a pastel? She has sucvh pink sides and seems to be very light and clear like a pastel. . . .

Morgaine's not actually ours, Alice, we're fostering/snake sitting her for Lynn (ladywhipple). I know that Morgaine's got some lovely genetics in her but I'll leave it to Lynn to explain what she actually is from a genetics point of view. Whatever Morgaine is she's 100% cutie pie LOL.

    Re: Severus & Morgaine
Alice, Morgaine is a Hypo Hogg Cross 100% het for anery (meaning she is 100% het for ghost).

In boas, mixing the hypo gene and the anertheristic gene creates ghosts, which is going to be my main focus.

Morgaine's also half Hogg Island, which should add in some nice coloring... and she should make some interesting ghosts down the road. I've already got a couple nice boys lined up for her... :D

    Re: Severus & Morgaine
See Alice I knew it would take Lynn to explain Morgaine's genetics properly LOL. I'd just babble then likely say..."she's ummmmm....well she's real pretty!"
