    Ok for ball hatchlings?
I was looking up racks and saw this. It says the tub dimensions make each tub 5.4qts. So is this ok for hatchling ball pythons? If so, how long do they stay in one of these (up to how many grams?)

The tubs are only 8x14 not 17x14. I'd say up to about 300-400g they would be fine.

Thanks. I found one of my old threads where we talked about tub size. 6qt is good up to 350-400g, 15qt is good up to 1000g and 32qt is good up to 1500g.

Thanks for all your help. :D

All my males live their whole lives in 32qt tubs and in fact Juvi's are in a 32 split in half till they get big enough to move up to a full 32qt.

    Agreed.:gj:

    300-400grams 6qt tubs
    400-1000 15qt or divided 28/32qt
    1000+ 28/32 qt tubs
Biggest of big girls 41qt tubs... (I don't have any females over 2500g yet...so I don't keep any 41qt tub racks.)

Its what works for me anyways...my snakes are all ravenous feeders. Keep them dark and tight.

The main thing is that you do what works for you. I did it this way and have yet to have one go off feed that was grown up in a smaller tub.

Right now we are keeping ours in 15qt and they eat like pigs! Last feeding, EACH struck and killed in less than 30sec. No regurges either. :D I am very happy with the rack system. I'm even thinking of getting a rack just for corns and get a few more corns. (and get like five more racks for ball pythons. :P)
