It's definately not a cow. I can't really tell because the video is kinda blurry, but it looks like a baby hippo to me. Could be wrong though.....

I saw this a while back. I can't see the video. But I read about it.

They thought it might have been a person. So they poked and proded the snake till it regurged it.

I forget what they said it was. If I recall. It wasn't a hippo. But don't hold me to it.

My first thought was a wild boar but that is far too large. It might just be a very large tapir! I didn't think they got that big...

Depends on the species, but most get relatively large. The Asian Tapir can reach 7+ feet and 700+ lbs, which could easily be confused for a baby elephant or hippo on a grainy youtube film :).

It's almost a certainty that the snake is an Anaconda (at least to me, but it is late) which would suggest a Lowland Tapir. As adults they can still hit the 600 lb mark, so that's my uneducated guess ;).

I think tapir was the conclusion last time this video was debated. The structure of the feet is pretty convincing.

Not at all. Most wild snakes will eat what they can get when they can get it. It's not uncommon for large snakes to take on a huge meal, digest for a couple weeks, then live off of the reserves for several months.

BTW, I know condas eat a lot of capybaras, but the nose on this animal is tapered like... well... a tapir. :)
