Re: New Babies they are soo little!
oh my goodness they are small!! congrats... did you breed them yourself? they are so tiny to have brought them home if not (no?)
Re: New Babies they are soo little!
We actually picked em up off of a breeder at an expo. I was concerned about the size but I have experience with little ones sadly im sure a good portion of the babies he sold will die. They were very nice and very very cheap as in 2 for 15 dollars. I fugured why not. Chances are they will survive as they are eating already pretty good and rowdy as ever in their new habitat. I know all the bells and whistles about substrate and feeding so hopefully i will show some bigger pictures a little later down the road.

Good luck! They are so cute.
Re: New Babies they are soo little!
So the little dark one did not wind up making it, the other seems to be ok. Bummed but the stress probably was too much and they should have never been sent out at that size. Lesson learned. :(
Re: New Babies they are soo little!
im sorry it didnt make it.. i too thought it was much too young. at least you learned something, because when you know better you do better :gj:, i hope the other one makes it!
Re: New Babies they are soo little!
yeah.. It sucks, I work with dragons everyday at co-op... that one looks like it just came out of it's egg. Get ahold of the breeder asap. Sorry to hear about your loss. The rule to remember is this.. 6 weeks or 6 inches. Keep us posted on what the breeder says.
Re: New Babies they are soo little!
That has to be hard. I made the same mistake as what's to good to be true is to good. I got 2 babies in which one was bigger then 6in but one was that size. I have fought this last 3 weeks to keep it alive. Hope the other one makes it through to be a nice big adult for u
Re: New Babies they are soo little!
Very cool beardies. Beardies have the funniest tendancies like hand waving and head bobbing I also like it when they dance on the glass haha.
Re: New Babies they are soo little!
Those look like newborn hatchlings. They are/were not ready to sell yet.
Best of luck.

thats not what you said on the bearded-dragons.com forum but whatever. i hope the other one made it.
Re: New Babies they are soo little!
The other one is doing fine and the post in the other forum is the full story on what happened. I do not post nearly as much on this forum and decided not to go into detail here. Needless to say the death of the darker beardie was a lesson learned for not only me but my partner as well. I am glad you checked out the forum and hope that you enjoy it as much as I do there is great info to be had there on beardies. How are your beardies doing?
Re: New Babies they are soo little!
canon and nikon are doing well, canon hadnt been gaining weight well so we seperated them and both seem to be doing better. thank you for asking, it just seemed shady having two different stories, how is your older dragon
Re: New Babies they are soo little!
Yeah I can understand where you are coming from with that I tend to be more open in the other forum because many of the regulars there I actually know in person or have an online history with. I have watched this forum get into heated debates(sometimes over very little things) and I try to stay as far from that as possible so sometimes I post less here than I would on my regular group. I like to look at the info here and see what others are doing with set ups because there is some really amazing info to be found, but I usually keep pretty quiet.
The big guy is doing well he was really lethargic for a couple days and now is doing great the little beardie we have is almost double in size now which I am really happy for because we were worried for a week that she might not take to eating the way she should. No problems there now so hopefully she will continue on her cricket devouring path.
