Re: New Turtle... Need Help
Honestly, he looks like he's doing pretty good! My friend has about 3 of those turtles, and they live in a big tank full of water with gravel, a dock, and some goldfish. A filter for cleanliness, and some fake plants. I could be wrong about them being the same (I dont have a good eye for turtles) but he looks good to me.
Re: New Turtle... Need Help
Lol turtles are so great. I'd give www.petturtle.com a visit. It seems to be a great source of information for your little guy. What kind of turtle is that?
Re: New Turtle... Need Help
I believe its a read eared slider... he seems happy. He likes to wake me up in the morning haha
Re: New Turtle... Need Help
Haha nice. I was gonna say he looks like a slider, but I wasn't sure. I used to have a boxer, and my dog ate him when I was like 13.
Re: New Turtle... Need Help
yea he seems alot happier since i get him, well i dont know if its a him but thats what im going with til i figure it out. He is a real attention Wh*** though. as soon as you walk in the room he comes right to the glass and starts hitting it trying to get to you.
He also did that this morning to wake me up for work, it was rather funny

Re: New Turtle... Need Help
I love turtles! I used to have one as well. He was a painted turtle named Bunky. Another great place to look up turtle info is www.turtleexchange.com click members forum and you'll be taken right there. Nice bunch of people who run the place. Plus they all love their shelled friends to death.
I was never good at identifying turtles, but I don't notice the "red ears", it might be a yellow belly. Or it very well could be a red ear.
Congrats on the new addition. He looks great.
