    That guy is sooo trippy!

My cousin has been sending me links of his performances out in public.

Has anyone actually seen him or seen his work?

i don't really like him as magician... he pays people to act like they don't know what's going on when he's doing a trick on them. if you have ever watched his show, he always walks up to "random" people and does a trick. well those people aren't really that random, they are on the payroll.

I heard he's contracted in Los Vegas... which would explain those "random" people...

    LOL!

Yeah, he is in Vegas.. The last one I saw was him poolside near the Paris Hotel.

No matter what, it is still pretty impressive.

Just for some snake info on Criss he was totally into being careful with my pets. I was hired to supply a few to his show. To his credit Criss was very accommodating in caring for the animals. You don’t get that from a lot of TV shows these days so good for Criss.

His version of Houdini's Metamorphosis is badass!

For those that don't know the original illusion, Houdini was chained in a burlap sack, then locked in a trunk. His assistant would shut the trunk, then hold up a curtain for 3 seconds. When he dropped it, Houdini was there and the assistant was in the trunk, chained in the sack... it was an amazing trick!

Criss Angel does it with nothing but a pyrotechnic! There is no curtain- a giant blast of fire come up, and it's him standing there instead of the assistant! One of the coolest illusions ever! I love it when people take a classic illusion (even one that everyone knows the secret to) and update it or add their own twist.

Well, the original had a trap door in the chest... this one I don't know! I mean, even if you had a quick way out, the skill it takes to do a switch in 1/2 of a second... crazy! I've seen it a couple of times, and it looks like Criss is landing when the fire finishes, so I don't know if they both jump really fast or what!

I found a version of it where he uses smoke, but it's off some crappy SciFi channel special and looks a little cheesy.

Chris Angel is so lame. His illusions would be cool if it wasn't always so obvious that the random people are part of the act. And his entire demeanor and looks are just silly. It's just so pathetic.

I did see Mencia's imitation, and it was the single funny, original thing that guy has ever done.

I have seen a video where he tells you how he does his levitation. Even though so many people out there don't like him, call him a fake, ect. I still like him. He is there to entertain and that is what he does and does it well. :gj: I know what he does isn't real but if I'm sitting on the couch trying to figure out how he did it (and I never really want to know how he does it. It would ruin everything) then I think he has succeeded.
