    Server problems
BP.net has been lagging for me for the last few weeks. Anyone else having this problem? It looks like the site is getting too bif for the current server or hosting package.

I frequent 2 forums--BP.net and another one. They seem to use the same software as a base. Sometimes, when I'm browsing both of them at the same time (I often will open threads in multiple tabs, then read through them), both sites will time out while opening pages at the same time. I'm not sure if it has to do with the software, servers or what. Usually refreshing a few times solves the time-out issue for me.

Would you mind taking down the error and sending me a pm the next time it happens?

The timeouts may not necessarily be due to our server loads. A browser request may go through several different hops and the bottle neck could happen at any one of those points as well.

It's pretty hit and miss for me too on here. Usually when it becomes laggy (or I get the lovely, "Server did not respond") I just wait a few minutes and it's fine.

Yesterday I was getting SQL DB errors... I'd never seen THAT before. But the error said an email had already been sent to the admins. It only lasted about... 5 or 10 minutes or so.

It times out on me a lot actually, at least twice a day. I usually only have just the one tab open too.

Next time it happens I will post the error message.

I get the same thing. From time to time, it will just stop responding. It usually takes anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute to start responding again.

Yep exactly. Then sometimes when it times out and then I refresh, it will bring up the homepage but everything on the page will be in a single file line all the way down the page. Even the graphics, who's online, everything.

I don't think it's the server. it happens all the time on my PC (windows XP) but my Mac never does it, although the Mac freezes on myspace all the time and the PC never does?
Also i log into BPnet on my motorola Q phone and it never has a problem which makes me think it's the windows program or my Norton anti-virus that just trips out.

    Yeah not a problem...
I could take a screen shot and send it too you as well!
Usually it happens at work and it could be the work servers acting up and I do work at Xerox and they try to block a ton of stuff, but if I get er again, which I'm sure I will, I will send you it!
