Am I the only one?
I really don't care too much for the cinny/black pastel morph. I'm not a big fan of pewters or a lot of the other combos made with these either. Am I the only one who thinks they are asthetically at the bottom of the morph list?

Re: Am I the only one?
Yep, you're the only one. :P
Seriously... I think everyone has their favorites and not-so-favorites. Nothing wrong with that. Personally, I like the cinnies and black pastels better than regular pastels. Not only for the combos that they make, but also because they really improve with age as opposed to regular pastels. Of course I'm a sucker for dark snakes. ;)

Re: Am I the only one?
I'm with jake on this one... Ive seen some pewters that look good then Ive seen some I think look like they have cancer... I have a lesser and was looking to get either a mojo or a cinny and even tho the mojo looks alot like a lesser... i went with the mojo... My good buddy is like lawrence and loves the dark snakes where I prefer the lighter snakes... All comes down to what catches your eyes.

Re: Am I the only one?
Personal preference, man. I really like piebalds and I'm baffled when someone says they don't, but then there's a lot of morphs that I think are boring that some people love. It's like saying you don't understand why people like a certain car color.

Re: Am I the only one?
Works out really well in our home as I prefer the lighter morphs and my husband prefers the darker morphs so we'll just have to breed a bit of each. :)

Re: Am I the only one?
I like cinnies and black pastels but my wife doesn't like the darker snakes that much. One of my favorite crossies is the cinny pied. I'm excited about that! I on the other hand, don't really like calicos, and when I like spiders, I like low white. All that white coming up on the sides to me just looks...i dunno tacky

yep!
LoL. Lots of cinnie-love here.
Have you ever seen one in person? I always thought "what's the big deal" with cinnies until i held one. the reddish pigment in the skin is just... wow.

Me too! What really baffles me is neither of our kids like pieds! As a kid I was always into pinto horses and calico cats and black & white spotted dogs and clown fish and... you get the picture.
Definitely personal preference. There will be some morphs that are more popular than others, but I doubt there will ever be a morph that is universally considered to be at the bottom (or the top) of the list.

Re: Am I the only one?
You REALLY wanna be the oddball... be like me... and not find spiders to be attractive...
Seriously though... I LOVE the traditional BP pattern design, and most morphs have their own little color alterations or design tweaks, but they don't through the whole thing out the window and start over as spiders do... But that's just me.

Re: Am I the only one?
I personally LOVE cinnies and black pastels. I look forward to creating one of my absolute favorite combos with them, the "Black Platinum" (Black Pastel (or Cinny) X Lesser Platinum)
...and you gotta love the pignosed super cinny!:D

I have seen a few in person. I just don't like darker snakes. Maybe its because I started out breeding corn morphs until I fell in love with the albino ball. I just love lots of yellow, orange, white, lavender and red on snakes. High contrast and colorful snakes are what I'm about. I really only like pieds because of the burnt orange that edges the pattern. Just personal preference. Gooseman, I understand what you mean about spiders, but I still like 'em.

Re: Am I the only one?
I just threw down some dough on two cinnies, they are pretty sharp looking. I'll try and post some pics when I pick them up :)
First: Cinny het Pied. Then Cinny Pieds!

Re: Am I the only one?
Cinny pieds are awesome, just figured I'd say that again.
Everyone talks about how odd it isn that someone doesn't like pieds, or with ben not liking spiders. I have a friend that doesn't like BEL's or Super Cinnys. I was baffled when I was told....I mean....how? lol
My wife kind of agrees with you though Jake. One of her top favorite base morphs is the Lesser she also really likes pastels, and of course pieds. She likes snakes that are lighter colored. She'll drool over a lesser or a bel (rightfully so) but when it comes to cinnies and some of the other darker morphs she's not nearly as excited. Now I will admit though, our cinny is starting to grow on her, I can't wait till he sheds so she can see that! :)

Re: Am I the only one?
Heresy! Black pastels and Cinnies are just gorgeous...such rich smokey colours.
Ben, I'm with you on spiders. I just don't see the appeal of them. *shrug* There are enough morphs for all of us. :-)

Re: Am I the only one?
I'm afraid I might be stoned - but I've never really cared much for albinos. Now, lavendar albino's, I love. Although I will say that after seeing an albino in person, I can kinda see the attraction.
