    Ozzy monitors
I'm new here, and a keeper of monitors for the past 7-8 years,I like australian species best ..by far.I am only keeping laces and kimberly's any more for lack of room and my growing interest in my Boas and pythons have grown
I can offer a lot of info and help with the above mentioned species.I also want you all to know.... no special agenda here, the kimberlys are spoken for once they hatch and will be the last breeding for them for a long period of time, the laces are another story,Here some pictures we all like..enjoy and thanks for looking.

    Hey Welcome aboard!!!

I have always been fascinated by monitors, I have always wanted one. Lack of space and experience with large lizards has kept me from getting one. I have spent some time reading about smaller monitor species though. That first pic is great. I love it.

Last breeding of the Kimberlies???? Why? Ha ha...I haven't gotten mine yet keep on breeding them :D Not many are breeding kims these days and even fewer can hatch the eggs.

Great looking collection. Do you keep anything besides Kims and Lacies? I know you probably have your hands full with just those two species though...ha ha.

Where country are you located in? The username sounds familiar from some monitor forums.

I see that in the bottom picture, he has dug a burrow/hole in the ground. How do you stop them from digging out of their enclosure?

I wouldn't say that. It seems more and more are getting interested. I don't think that many people know of any Aussie species besides Ackies. Alot of the big names that used to produce monitors, advertise, and represent the animals are gone or not breeding, so they is no 'hype' about most species except for the usual imported garbage(i.e. niles, savs, etc.) If you ever find yourself with any extra kims laying about, let me know....my passion is not fading ;)

Beautiful lacies too. If I ever have the room, they are a definite for me. I would rather keep a lacy than any other large monitor. Are you having any luck at breeding them?

What type of boas and pythons are sparking your interests?

I remember those lacies... maybe like a month or two ago you posted them. Sorry to hear you're on your way out of monitors, it's a damn shame. Welcome to the site, there's usually alot less drama here than you might be used to on the monitor sites.

ha ha......I don't have a problem with snakes getting into my mice. But spiders do seem to find my cricket bins....ha ha...

Great looking enclosures. I am sure the lacies love it!! I wish I lived in a part of the country where I could keep those guys outside.....south Louisiana does not seem to get hot enough but for one or two months out of the year...ha ha.

    Thanks for sharing.
