Not again...
Got ANOTHER phonecall from home, one of my dogs died. See, usually when my dad is backing out of the garage, the dogs have learned by now to stay away from the car. However I hear that the garbage man was at the base of the driveway which caught Bailey's attention and had her run towards the driveway... and under my dad's car. It was supposedly instantaneous.
For some reason it doesn't seem to be my year. I got the call about a month ago now that my little Nero (black blood) passed away (for unknown reasons) and now this... The worst/odd part, was that yesterday was my little sister's birthday... The odd part about that, is 4 years ago, we lost our other daschund from old age (15) on her birthday as well. Let's just say we are in quite a somber mood ATM.....

Re: Not again...
Well, I managed to get signed out of the corps this weekend on medical leave, and so I made it home today to rest for the weekend. My Hallie-bear (my beagle) was a sight to see. I heard from my mom that she's been laying on the spot on the driveway where it happened since then, and always seemed to be looking for a Bailey that wasn't there... when i got home and went to the backyard and called for her, she slowly walked out from her favorite hiding spot behind the bushes (when she usually charges at first sign of movement), and then sprinted over and started howling for ages it seemed. She couldn't have seemed any happier to me. The moment I went inside however, the crying started. So I gave her a treat, and she just stared at it and kept crying... which was unbelievable b/c she's a beagle... shes ALWAYS hungry... well not today... not even for a treat. So I gave her a good long bath and brought her indoors (to my parents dismay, but whatev, made her happy :-P ) lol.
