    Cinni or not?
This is a photo of a ball that I will be possibly adding to my collection as my first and probably only 'dinker' project.Right now its a 50/50 split decision in my mind of geting him as I have other plans that are wanting me to pull away . He looks too good to me to be just a normal and with all his blushing and the color on his head looking almost red as it is good he's already breeding size. The best part is hes a CH from africa not a CB so if he does prove to be some sort of dom/co-dom morph I'd get to name it right? :D ....Anyways I'd like to get a few opinions on the pic, what do ya'll think. I've tried to visually compare his pic with with other cinnies and black pastels and even regular pastels and the only somewhat similiraties there are is the massive amounts of blushing and flames he has and how the head seems to be primarily one color (except for the eye stripe). Do you think this might be a cinni or just a awsomerific normal?

I don't think he's a cinnie, but he looks like a cool dinker project. If you love him, get him! Have you asked for belly shots?

I agree... not sure that he's a Cinny, but that dude's got something going on. I'd breed him to a big normal girl, see what hatches out. Then maybe breed him back to a couple of his daughters (especially if you get something visual out of the first clutch!).

    Awesome find!

Not a Cinny, but absolutely something different.

There is an animal out called the Sunset ball that reminds me of your critter a little.

Good luck proving him out!! That is a great project to be working on! :D

I got word that he has a clean belly, but I'm still waiting for the pics in a few days. I know you can only go so far with the 'clean belly' phrase, but I know its easy to take that as a 'GO' sign and run with it. Knowing that there can be plain as day normals with 'clean bellies', but I still will take that as a plus toward getting him cause he is far from plain as day normal

well... its set at 750 shipped since he's suppose to be at breeding size, I'll get weights some time as well. That amount seems like quite a bit but I can't keep my eyes off him for some reason.

I looked at the same add... Any1 know anything about wyatt as a breeder? He told me he got this fella 2 yrs ago from Africa but hasnt had a chance to breed him out... Unless he got him as a baby wouldnt he have already had a chance to breed him? Makes me wonder why he hasnt bred him yet.

I would be interested in some feedback on this seller too. When he first posted the ad he said he was selling due to some immediate divorce financial issues.

He also posted another ad the same day (for a different snake) saying he needed funds for his newborn son's medical expenses.

Not saying this isn't true but makes you wonder.

I've got a pastel produced by Wyatt. Very nice snake that's been breeding up a storm for me over several years and still looks good as an older pastel.

Of course, I didn't BUY it from Wyatt, I bought it from Morph King Reptiles Who passed it off as one they produceds themselves, but thats another story.

Yea I'm with you sean... It's obv a different looking morph and may prove out to be a new line ....its just so sketchy doing business over the computer when you really dont know for sure... who knows maybe hes like 4-5yrs old... been bred a bunch of times and hasnt proven out so now hes trying to get rid of him... OR maybe hes not lying... really does need the cash and has to sell some snakes...

No one has any information on Wyatt from TX as a breeder?? I requested some proof from him that this is from africa and he got it 2 yrs ago as a baby... So far he has dodge these questions and told me hes ready to move onto the next customer. If anyone on here is looking to purchase this guy Id hold off as right now it seems like a scam and hes already been proven out to be a crazy looking normal.

Well thats a total bummer, but yes there is a big lack of information on the autheniticness of the snake being a ch from africa or not. I hadn't had my hopes up too high, cause getting him would be slowing down my snow project.Guess I'd rather be safe than sorry :worry: ...and wave buh bye to that beautiful ball.

Robin thanks for that info... Sounds like hes had some sketchy transactions in the past... I cant hold that over his head since I havent delt with him but I can hold the fact that he hasnt answered my questions against him. All I am looking for is proof it came from Africa and its only 2 yrs old... Dont know how he is going to get me this information but we shall see... I will be calling him today to see what he has to say about this guy. Thanks again

I do remember that a few years ago he was teamed up with a guy named Trager (sp?) And they had a connection in Africa and were importing a lot of unusual looking animals. He posted most of them on Kingsnake back then, maybe you could look up the old threads? I know it's like looking for a needle in a haystack, but you might find something.

Hes weighing in somewhere between 900-1000g so hes breeding size this yr but will have to wait another one... Another year wont hurt... if anything itll help build up his immune system so he can go the whole breeding season without getting sick or anything like that. Whats crazy about this guy is I got pictures of him when he was a wee lil fella and he didnt look any different from a normal other than his bright red head... comparing those pics to what he looks like now and its like night and day... I guess thats a good thing that he didnt lose his color as he got older but instead he gained it... He'll either be here thursday or friday so expect some more pics...

Sean ill mark you down for one of the first guys I let go... Next yr will be a huge year for me... first year breeding and a possible new morph... cant come soon enough

Welp I just received this guy in and got him situated in his new home... Can honestly say I was dissapointed with his color in person... In this pic his head looks extremely red and throughout his body ... When I got him out his head was more orange than red and there was pretty much no real red coloration throughout his body like you see in this picture... Kinda hard for everyone else to tell bc you guys dont have another pic of him to compare but do you think its possible to photo shop this pic to make it look more red?? I'm not sure if he was fresh outta shed and right now he may be nearing shed?? After he gets a meal in him I'm going to throw up some new pics so everyone can compare them to this pic... Either way I was very impressed with his personality... came all the way from texas and was very calm and relaxed when I got him out of the bag. Hes a big dude... 943g's... Anyone think its possible he may have been bred already??

I still like him and think he has great potential. At 900+ grams, I would bet that he's been bred, but probably hasn't been kept long enough to breed back to any of his daughters. If I were you, thats exactly what I'd be doing. Hold back all of his daughters, not just the ones that might look a little bit like him.

Wow, that's quite a difference. I think the photo is not a true representation of the animal. It's very easy to tweek settings on your camera to get different hues and tones, and I think that's what was done.

If he proves out, that's fantastic! Personally though, I would be disappointed too.

    Re: Cinni or not?
I'm not too worried bc he still doesnt look like any other ball Ive seen... He may not have that bright red coloring but he still has a wicked pattern and blushing that I've never seen before. I've compared him to my normal and other pics or normals and although hes not red like the pics hes def not normal looking. I do think Wyatt pulled a fast one on me with the whole camera BS and thats a dirty dirty move... I just dont get it... why cant people do business the RIGHT way?? Always room for a shady move like this to get people to jump all over the sale...

Everyone please note this... When im selling babies in 09' and on ...NOTHING like this will EVER happen with me, my snakes, and my customers... What you see is what you get... no photo tweaking, no sending a different snake... nothing shady!! Doing things the RIGHT way

I for one have tons of problems getting my camera to take true colors. Yellow in particular. Some times it's way lower than real on yellow and sometimes way higher.

These pictures are higher yellow than real. I think these actually look a lot like your new male.

Regardless of the before and after pics (Lighting in rooms can impact on pics from room to room) I think he is worth every penny. I wouldn't be disappointed, I'd do what Mark said, breed him and then breed him to some of the daughters.
