New Beardie Acting odd

I got 2 new basically hatchlig beardies last night. The one is alert and active but the second is just lathargic. I mean i am typing with it sitting on my middle finger and it hasn't even lifted its head at all. I contacted the breeder I got it from already but I just want to know if this is normal or what? I actually think this one is younger then the one that is more active. The smaller one is about 3in and the bigger one is maybe 3 and a half.

how warm is it? they do need some warmth from their lights - so perhaps you need to place him/her on their perch to warm themselves. also... what are you feeding them?

silkworms are excellent for beardies of any age... crickets are okay... and mealworms are not a great idea for them at all... especially when they are that young.

what did the breeder say?

He wont get home till after 7 so I'm still waiting. I have it with lights and pearches but it just jumps down and lays on the ground. The other one loves the pearches though. I have tried feeding cricketts and some greens and some fruit and so far it wont eat for me.

don't really young beardies only eat insects and not fruit and veges? i got mine when it was a bit older and then all the rescues i took in were adult as well... so i always fed both, but i thought the young ones didn't eat anything but insects.

i'd wait for your breeder to get back to you. in the meantime, i'd make sure your temps are spot on and leave it alone... let it settle in as it may be stressed and you holding it/moving it around would not be helping at all.

I have left it alone basically the whole time just took it out once or twice to check cuz it was basically just laying still. I have the temps right and place it on the branch to get next to the lights to see if it perks up. The breeder said to just bring it back and he'll check it out and either trade it out or what ever i want. The breeder had collard greens and strawberries in the cage that they were eating when I picked tehm up and told me to do the same thing.

How is the baby beardie doing?

Now that she has adjusted better and I have her eating crickets and silkworms and also the greens she is active and hyper. I'm not giving strawberries but maybe once a week and she loves the red bell peppers also.

I feed my babies a variety of mixed greens (escarole, raddacio, endive)chooped fine! with calcium and vitamin powders at different times.
I mist the veggies to get them interested and so lick up moisture. Dragons lick dew and raindrops off of plants in the wild and so they do it naturally. It helps to get babies to eat greens and get hydrated.

I mist the greens before I give them any and then the fake vine things I have in there and they love to lick the water off. I chop everything or they wont eat it (just posted pics of them) and have the supplements that I use daily.

do they love bath time? some of mine did and others didn't.

They are still so small I haven't tried that yet. I know mine like being misted just some, enough to get some water off their noses so maybe they will like baths lol

I give my guys a bath about once a month. It seems like they like it as long as the water is warm enough. I put a little water in the bath tub and let them splash around. They seem to like the cuddle time in the towel afterwards too.
