50% suriname Hypo Male. Just shed and got a small snack. He is a big boy and has some big color. Can't wait till I find the right girl for him! Hes gonna make a killer adult.

Wait, is that a rat pink in the last pic with the 50% hypo? He looked HUGE to me in the first pic, then I saw the rat pink and went "Huh? What?" lol. They are all very pretty though! I wouldn't mind getting a RTB one day when I have more room.

lol Kasi. That was a small fuzzy rat. The nic refused so he got the rat as a snack. He is about 2 1/2' at this time

Mixing localities....Mixed feelings. If you do it responsibly, its OK in my book. Do your part by labeling correctly and knowing when enough is enough. Lets try and keep this thread from a hybrid/cross discussion.

Wait, so are all Suriname's that red color, or is it because he's a hypo that he's so red/pink/orangish?

I haven't seen a normal suri this red, its the hypo blood for sure

Hmm, ok. and another question. Do Boa genetics work the same way as BP genetics work? I'm very much the 'newb' when it comes to RTB's ( or any other snake besides BP's for that matter).

All genetics pretty much work the same way.


For instance:

Normal boa X Albino boa = 100% hets

Same thing as BPs. There are just more BP combos at the moment. But boas are catching up :D

ah, ok. But localities also make a difference in their coloring, right? I think it's the BCI's that are the grey with black markings, then with the redish tails?

OH YA!!! He was born early 07 so I doubt he will be ready this year although he will probably be big enough by then.
