Last clutch and.......First...

TWINS.

Our last clutch of the year is pipping today, and low and behold we have 2 heads coming out of one egg. This is a Spider clutch, but the twins are normals. I don't care that they are normals because the cool factor overides the fact that they are "normal". Hope everyone else thinks they are as cute as I do. For some reason they seem cuter than your average hatchling.

Thanks for all of the kind replies everybody. What a way to end a great season. I can't wait for them to come out, and I ensure everyone I'll take more pics of them once they are out. My daughter already wants to keep them both, no matter what the sex. So we might actually have to hold back some normal males this year. I'm praying for females, but I'll like them no matter what they are.

T, I have seen a couple of sets of twins, and never seen them with the same pattern. I'll have to go take some pics of our twins in a bit, but they do have differnet patterns.

Don't quote me this, but I believe it is called Paternal twins.

Fraternal twins. In humans they are produced from two seperate eggs and two sperm, so even though they are born together, they are no more genetically related than any other siblings would be. Identicals are the one fertilized egg splitting off into two individuals that are genetically identical. Not sure how it works with snakes though.
