getting to know ya'll

Well I'm on here all the time. I haven't really formally introduced myself so i figured i should. Names Billy. I intend to stay around here so i want to get to know all you others who are always one here. the site is addictive love learning about the different morphs very interesting stuff.

I guess id be a rookie with ball pythons. i have had 1 b4 my current little guy. I was about 14 years old and didn't really have a nice home for him, (i thought it was at the time) and after i while i lost interest in taking care of it so i gave it away to my science teacher in high school. But I've had my current ball for about a month. He is set up in a tub on my book shelf. I haven't had a problem with him/her yet.

My name is Nancy. I have 2 sons and 9 wonderful grandchildren. Have just got back into snakes after several years. Love horses, show my friends horses on occasion. Have a few borzoi and a french bulldog. Along with frogs, lizards about 7 snakes, a few birds, tortoises,fish, cat and a hedgehog. My girlfriend and I love antique shopping, hiking, herping, and my favorite thing is dog showing. I work as a lead person in a large welding shop.:D I'm sure you will meet many interesting people here.

Hello!! I am Pam. I am 27, just celebrated my 5th year wedding anniv. last month, and between me and my husband we have 4 kids....3girls (ages 13, 11, & 4) and our 2 yr old son (my 2 oldest daughters are technically my stepdaughters just in case someone is wondering about the age bracket there). Currently I am attending school to become a registered nurse (I am following in my momma's footsteps :) :) ). We are all animal lovers, you can see the majority of my collection in my sig. I do have another upcoming ball and we recently adopted 2 rat weanlings that my 4 yr old says "are too cute to give to the snake". So my husband is starting to feel like he is living in a small zoo and thinks we should start charging admission to our house. :) :P

My name is Jonathan, and I live in Eastern Canada. I'm 23 years old (single), and I have 2 snakes. One ball python and one corn snake. I have also one little rabbit and a love bird.
I'm still living at home (no one laugh pls), only because I need to take care of my parents. We are buying a duplex soon so at least I will have own space FINALLY!!!!!!!! :rockon:

I've been interested in reptiles for a long time, but my parents would never let me have any in the house. When I started college---and started paying my own bills---I bought my first BP.

Long story short... somewhere in the four years of college, after I started my own little rescue---and fell in love with my girl, Kinkers---I become totally enamored of boa. Personal issues have prevented me from going anywhere with my plans until recently. But I'm on the right track again. I currently own two female boas, a female rescue, and a female DH Ghost (have a downpayment on a DH Ghost male, but he's not mine yet! ;) ) a crested gecko, a cat, and a beta.

Outside of reptiles, I graduated from OSU in December with a major in Creative Writing and a minor in Aviation Business. Moved back to Indianapolis and got a job as an Event Coodinator just a couple months ago... life is good again!

My name is Matthew. I'm 25, not married though in a relationship, currently working on my master's in biochemistry. Should graduate in May, august at the latest, then off to get my PhD.

I've been keeping cornsnakes for 14 yrs and breeding them for 11. They're still my main focus but I recently acquired several ball pythons as the morphs I wanted were finally in my price range. They're awesome and I'm definately looking foward to working with them.

I also have two cats from the pound, one of which has a mohawk! And a rabbit that we rescued from a local shelter.

I love everything outdoos, am an avid bicyclist, and like chess. I also marched drum corps for 3 yrs. So yeah, that's me.

I'm Christina. I've been married for almost 8 year, have two little girls (Joanna 6, Genevieve 5). We have a Pug named Baldrick, and our two Het Albino BP are coming today. I'm a housewife, I homeschool our girls, and knit professionally. We live in Montana, but may be heading out to Kentucky in the next few months.

I like to knit, spin, read, bike, and play hack and slash RPG's with my dh. Before I decided to be a housewife and mom I was a professional musician and was in the military.

I have 3 kids and 2 grandkids - yeah I'm old. My wonderful hubby and I have been married for 27 years. We have 5 dogs and lots of ball pythons. We've been breeding ball pythons for a little over 3 years now and we are still soooo excited every time one of those little heads pip.

I lived through and enjoyed things that many of you (based on your age) have only read about: tie dyed shirts when they first appeared, streaking on campus, sit-ins, the day President Kennedy was assasinated, the really cool mustangs ('63 - '65) when they were new, LSD in the sixties, the VietNam war, the terrible way we treated vets when they returned from VietNam, bra burning, women's lib, the horror of the day each year when draft numbers were pulled, Michael Jackson when he was cute and could sing, cell phones that were the size of a brief case, friends moving to Canada to avoid the draft, typewriters with little correction tapes, the beatles invasion, long hair on guys when short hair had been the norm, Mr. Ed, white-only restrooms, computers with monocrome monitors that only had 64 gig of ram, atari, pong, girls not being allowed to wear jeans or any kind of slacks to school, 8 track tapes, 45's and LP's, leaving a restaurant because they refused to serve my black friend, making homemade popcorn balls for trick or treaters, college dorms that were not co-ed, gym uniforms, Captain Kangaroo, reqiured PE in high school, watching them walk on the moon on the 6:00 news, the apollo rocket launches, beaches that weren't covered with condos, .36/gallon gas . . . . oh my . . . I think I'd better stop cause I'm feeling very nostalgic . . . . but all of these things helped to define me as the person I am today. What has defined you?

I'm Jess, female, 29, divorced a few years ago from a bad guy and now living in sin with the most wonderful man in the world. No kids, and no interest in having any. My maternal urges are entirely focused on animals.

I'm a vet tech working two jobs...day practice and ER, and I do tons of pet rescue, mostly cats and dogs. At any given time we have a couple of foster puppies/kittens on top of the regular residents.

I love my balls and my bloods, and am developing an interest in boas. Before I had so many critters to take up my time, I was on a Rocky Horror cast (played Magenta, Columbia, Janet, and Rocky), performed Scottish and Irish step dance and English Morris dance (Cotswold style), and played tabletop RPGs (White Wolf's Werewolf). I'm a bio-geek and a sci-fi chick, and a wanna-be homesteader. I think my snakies satisfy the agrarian urges for now but I still dream of the little place in the country. :-)

Hehe, Hi there, I'm Darcy, otherwise known as Adriana on stage and in the SCA. 30 year old (and still denying it) female living in Denver CO and lovin it. Full time college student going after a BA in Biology (cause it's easier - less chemistry) so I can work my way to owning a wildlife refuge for exotic and abandoned animals with the focus on reptiles and birds of prey.
I'm a very nutty young lady who adores animals of all kinds. I sing and act onstage (have since I was 4), play Dungeons and Dragons avidly, work on writing a few fantasy novels, sew and embroider, collect realistic stuffed animals (145 and counting), and try not to annoy my beloved BF/partner too much with all my snake talk.
My animal collection is shown in my sig, and I'm just now finding out that a t-stat, no matter how cheap, is needed for BOTH sides of the tank in a Colorado Fall. (Stupid sudden cold snap dropped my cool side to 74 last night so I took the zoomed stat from my corn snake's UTH and put it on her cool side UTH. Now her temps are good but the corn has to "suffer" until I order a new stat.)

I'm Kevin, live in MI but from Cleveland, OH (Go Browns). i am in my 4th year at eastern michigan university where i am majoring in toxicology and biochemistry (LOTS of chemistry :)) and minoring in criminology. i have a bunch of snakes, 4 rats, a gecko, and a 10wk old black lab. i work in a research lab doing well research. i plan on going to med school and becoming a medical examiner or a forensic pathologist.

i don't really live an exciting life... mostly school, work, beer and snakes (not necessarily in that order)

nice to see a fellow clevelander here. but MICHIGAN!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?:eek:

41, DWF with a fantastic teenage daughter who shares a love of critters with her mom. The sig says it all, pretty much... but we are looking to find another dog to add to our family since Tundra passed away.


Furries, slitheries. I read, enjoy movies....romantic comedies, westerns, sci-fi, Star Wars, Star Trek, Indiana Jones, James Bond, embroidery, knitting, latch-hooking rugs, crochet and singing. Woodwinds...flute, alto sax, piccolo; some piano. Dancing...and soooo much more. Somewhere in there I try to sleep in order to work 12.5+ hour shifts at night.
