Bee macro's

Here are some quick shots of my bumble bee...but up close. ;) I was lucky to get any shots of this guy as he did not want to hold still for even 1/8th of a second.

Would you mind sharing your camera setup (specifically for these images - Exposure/lens/zoom/etc.)? I am still learning my new DSLR so when I see great pictures I like to try and copy how you made them so I can get better.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Out of 20+ photo's those were the only ones that came out because he just wouldn't still. :mad: I'm sure once he gets older and larger he'll settle down. :cool:

Well after several tries I have come to the conclusion that it is my lens...I don't have a 100mm f/2.8 macro lens. I was hoping one of my telephoto lens might work but they still don't get close enough. I looked into this macro lens for my camera and it is like $600 :O so I guess I will just not get those cool close up shots anytime soon. :(

That is one stunning snake. And that headshot is pure art.
