Not sure really, we were going to flip it but then just deceided not too. Oh well the flaps don't really bother me much.

They are 28qt tubs.

I always forget what the wood we used is called. MDF board or something maybe. :oops:

would you mind sharing about how much materials cost you?

i think the flaps on top will be usefull later on. they could be little.. guards for thing such as papers, paper towels, pens etc you might want to keep at hand. keep things from rolling or easily being knocked off.

I think each board was just under $8 dollars, and I bought 10 boards. (from Home Depot)

And i had most of the tubs already, those were $3 something at walmart.

Well these were def $3 something! :O

Im pretty sure they've always been that price. I already had most of my snakes in those tubs, but I did buy 4 (3 extras and 1 for one of my females that wasn't already in that size). ;)

And so far I have not added my bloods in the rack. Originally I had planned on adding them but I think I've changed my mind.

Both my bloods are very aggressive feeders (to the point where they will sometimes strike as their lids are being open, even if food is not being offered. This happens days before feeding day.)

So I don't think I would be comfortable having them in the rack. I can just imagine them shooting out at me. :oops:

LOL, That would be a little freaky eh! And they get fat too, so they have a lot more weight to throw around. lol
