awesome dude. how much work is it to keep one? i had a yellow anaconda for a while but was to young and it got to big for me to take care for. i could def. handle one now. curious of what you house them in? im sure they have their own kiddie pool huh?

I always love seeing your condas, Ben. Love that marble.. it's so lovely.

They are mainly work in cleaning and general matainence, but other than that, they aren't too bad at all if you get a good feeder and temperment! As far as a kiddie pool goes, it's an option, they do fine with and without them. The only thing is with them, you should make sure you clean and steralize it frequently to avoid bacterial problems. I use basic water dishes, and have less ventilated cages to hold humidity a little better, and they do great!

how much does a baby green cost?

how fast do they grow and what size cage will you end up getting for them when they are giants? n what will they eat full grown?

Hey just curious, what is that yellow snake, middle row, right side on the back wall? I can just see that yellow shining out and was curious what that was :)

Baby Greens range anywhere from $100-$300+. As far as growth, it really depends on how you feed it, they do tend to add on pounds instead of length though, an 8' Green could very well weigh more than a 12' Retic. They can eat the same thing every other large constrictor can, rats, rabbits, pigs, etc.

The yellow snake in the back is a lav. albino retic.

nice anacondas what are u an anaconda breeder or something XD what do u feed that giant 1 cats,pigs???

I do what I can. :rockon: And no, mainly rats/rabbits/pigs as far as food. They don't take up too much $, mainly time. I keep all of my snakes in a seperate facility (which I'm actually building a new one now) so I have room to work with. I do have a lot, but I love the things. :carrot:

You and Kara has some awesome setups I have ever seen with those APs. :)

Thase guys are huge! I've only ever seen Anacondas on tv. I figured people somewhere must breed them but i never imagined sooo many in the same place!!

Sorry if i sound completely naive. Giant snakes are just so.... fascinating!

yea i have a green anaconda he is 2-3 ft. not as big as yours are yet. hes only 8 months old. he eats medium to large rats once a week. sometimes twice a week.

hes a beautiful looking guy. and he loves his water bowl dish

how are they for temperment?? well i know they're each different but with your experience do you have problems handling them or do you not really take them out that much? just wondering.

i take mine out once every other day. he is very tamed. his temper is really good. only if u handle him couple times a week. also they will be happy if they get feed regulary.

i feed mine once a week medium to large rats and that makes him happy.

but over all people think anacondas are bad snakes. but they really arent, they are good snakes. i also recomend if you are not really good wit snakes.. then i say wait off until you know some lil info about snakes and ancondas. but if you think your ready go head and try getting one. there awesome pets. they do get quite big so make sure if you get one get a big enough tanks and a large enough water bowl for him/her

Lucero87 - As far as the temperments go, they are both ways... I have some crazy chainsaws and then some that are very docile. Overtime you kind of find out what sets each snake off individually, and learn to not mess with them at certain times. I've noticed they tend to get spooked fairly easy as well (even the tamer ones) and will lash out at times.

But overall, most can be tamed down with handling, it's just best to always be prepared!:gj:

Take your own advice. I have a 5 foot bci that doesn't even eat large rats let alone twice a week. I think you need to read up on powerfeeding. Not going to be very healthy anacondas you got.
