    My Snake Dream Ruined
Well for a few years now :rainon:

Yesterday i went fishing and had a great idea :stupidme: about taking an ipod with me (My Brothers its an ipod video 5th genereation)

any way there i was fishing away with the ipod in my pocket and earphone in my ear i stand up to cast and guess what falls out of my pocket and straight into the lake yes you guessed it my bros ipod :rainon:

to make a long story short he is ok with it and has ribbed me too bad which is cool but i feel i need to replace it

so that is going to cost £150 or $300 so now i havent got a snake saving fund but a ipod replacement fund i should get enough from my birthday and christmas to get a new one ut im saving just in case

well i was going to buy a viv and all i needed for the snake this christmas and wait until next christmas to buy the snake so i had some money for vets fees just in case

well looks like now its gonna be ipod christmas no.1,equipment no.2 and finally christmas no.3 will be snakey

    which is a real :groinkick

by then i will be coming up to 18 so hopefully if i get a electrician appreticeship then i should have a bit more money and hopefully have a flat or some sort of accomadation where im allowed what sanakes i want (unlike here at home)

well just wanted to inform you about my day and my snake plans so no snakey pictures with me in them for atleast another 3 years :(

but hey you gotta do what ya fgotta do for your family and snakes of course :snake:

but guess im going to get to know your snakes alot better instead of mine that wont be here to take my mind of things but anyway

if youve had any bad experiences that have cost you getting a snake tell me

and also if someone out there is will to give me the money i would generously accept
 :8: :sweeet: :carouse:  :handshake :petting:

the money bit was a joke but if your offering

Crap! Can you sell things on ebay? I make a nice little side earnings by buying lots of Breyer horses and then selling them off individually.. just a thought. You would probably need your parents to setup a seller's account and help you get started with inventory though.

No allowence (not got much money at the mo)
so asking parents for chores and allowance is gone

im in england not alot of snow

but i suppose i could was peoples cars and cut some grass but thats still going to take alot of time

but i am willing to wait and it is only making me more eager and interested in snakes so ill just keep saving everything i get

The only way that we (humans) learn is through living. Often we have bad things happen to us. Accidents occur. S*** happens! I am proud of you that you are willing to replace your brothers iPod.

As to getting a snake, perhaps it would be best to wait until you are able to better afford it. There are - sometimes - extra expenses that are not forseen (like trips to the vet, a broken thermostat, etc.). It might be better for you to get your snake after you have a job. It will certainly be a better experience for you if you know that no matter what happens you have a little money stashed away for those emergencies.

You are being very responsible, and I am glad that you shared with us.:)

howd you plan on catchin fish while listening to an ipod? you should fish in peace and quiet. but that sucks little dude. shave your head and sell your hair to a wig company. or rob a bank. or get like a polaroid camera and take pictures of people and sell it to them.

    Don't rob a bank!

Places to look for jobs that many do not think of:

    1) Talk to your HS principal - s/he may know someone looking for a responsible person to do odd jobs.
    2) Talk to the local Clergy -- Churches often have lots of little jobs to do and will pay peicemeal.
    3) Go to the hospital and talk to the social services people -- they may be able to introduce you to people that are recovering from surgery and need someone to help them around -- that pays big bucks over here in the States.

    Good Luck.

Yeah; robbing a bank should not be a choice yo think of! I am not sure about your judicial system in Elgnand; but a friend of mine went to jail for 10 years of his life for doing that. Not a good bargain in my eyes; he lost an entire decade of life and much respect from his friends/family who mostly disowned him. Not to mention the chances of easily getting a decent job once he got out.

lol well i guess it all depends on what your listening to. i listen to metal so that wouldnt be good for fishin. but yeah i was just bein a smart ass with the bank robbin idea. you really can sell your hair to wig companies though.

What is the age for driving legally in your country? I would get my license asap if I were you; I waited until I was 26! but I wish I had gotten it sooner..
Is there a way you could take public transportation to get to a job? I know that your country has double-decker buses!
